Noora this was an very effective lesson that was student-centered and
well planned. You were able to effectively keep the lesson flow so the
students were interested, engaged and involved. It was great to see you
started the lesson with students sitting together, this kept their full
attention and they were answering questions, giving comments and
there was an opportunity to develop this phase into a focused class
conversation, so think about teaching in the moment and grabbing
these opportunities in the lesson
You used eye contact so this gesture effectively communicated positive
reinforcement or gave students clear messages. Throughout the lesson
it was evident that you were working hard to keep the students on
task and engaged- your strategies were successful. I could also see
that you have been developing your voice tone, volume and eye
contact so they are effective tools for classroom management. You also
change your self-expression and voice-expression and timing to
signal a transition in the lesson so the lesson becomes well staged
and students are given appropriate cues.
See the lesson notes that pinpoint specific moments in the lesson.
Overall this was a really effective and successful lesson. Well done.

Some points to consider:

1. Have more explanation in lesson plan, as discussed in our post
lesson meeting ( show timing too)
2. We discussed two students in some detail and worked out
strategies you could use with them. As I said have a plan that
you can follow and gain their trust first
3. Create opportunities for a class discussion- prompt-questionsexplanations-the girls experiences. Include thinking questions
4. As a teacher you are always modelling the language, and for
you particularly the new vocabulary so give the girls lots of
speaking opportunities

Prior Knowledge (What prior knowledge are you building in?)

- They know the basic things in computer and some programs.
- They know how to use Microsoft Word in a basic way.

Lesson Objectives: (What will students be able to do by the end of the lesson?)
- Respect, students should respect each other, give their friends the chance to talk or work
during the class, for example when I ask them to do a specific task on my computer in front of
the other students, they should get the chance and think about it and the students should not
laugh on them if they did something wrong or didnt know how to do it.
- Help, Students are able to ask whoever on their left and right side about anything they want,
but if they still dont know, the students who has the helping hand sign will help them of what
they want.
In this lesson, Students should work on the last step of their final project in Microsoft
- Transitions and animations, Students will be able to understand the meaning of Transitions
and animations by answering the teachers questions. According to Blooms taxonomy, students
will be in the comprehensive level.
- Difference between transitions and animations, students will be able to know what is the

Bachelor of Education

difference between transitions and animations, by demonstrating how to use each one of them,
According to Blooms taxonomy, students will be in the Analysis level. Applying understanding
- Use transitions and animations, students will be able to show that they can use the transitions
and the animations by apply it on their projects, According to Blooms taxonomy, students will
be in the Application level.
- Compare : Students will be able to compare between transitions and animations.
- Apply : Students will be able to apply transitions and animations on their projects.
- Evaluate : Students will be able to do some evaluate to themselves according to what they did
in their project.
Evaluation / Assessment: (How will you know your students have achieved the lesson objectives?)
After I explained the lesson to them, I will ask them to sit on the computers that they set on before
(by telling them their names and the computer number), and start working on what I was
explaining. I will ask them to nestle their hand to their bodies if they finished the tasks. I will give
them a self-evaluating paper to let them evaluate themselves ,Then I will ask them to put in in front
of the computer screen, to make it easier for me to put the grade for them.
Personal focus (relate to your PDP, state the goal and explain your actions specific to this lesson ):
In this lesson I am working on my PDP goals,
which is using eye contact and body language with the students, I will try to not give them my back
for long time, and I will be moving around and dealing with the students while they are working.
Also I will let the students use the signals that I asked them to use during the lesson, such as going to
the bathroom and if they finished the task. Furthermore, I might use the bell to inform them about
what I want from them.
Teaching Competencies focus (relate to specific competencies, state the competency area, explain your focus
and actions)

In this lesson I am working on my professionalism, in the area of communicate with stakeholders

about students progress, teaching and learning. I discussed with my MST before the lesson about
what is the best way for the students to understand the lesson, and the content of it, as an example,
how I can make sure that they got the idea of transitions and animations.

Teaching Strategies: (these are important to define so you create an positive and supportive learning
environment during the lesson)

Teaching strategies:
- Active Learning: students will use the teachers computer and explain things to the students
- Cooperative Learning: students will collaborate and work together in peers
- Experiential Learning: students will learn somethings then they will do it on their computers
Classroom management strategies:

Bachelor of Education

- Let the students using signals if they want to go to the toilet or they finished their tasks.
Give the students some instructions from the beginning of the class.
Behavioral management strategies:
- I will warn them to not talk while Im teaching by stop talking and looking at them
- They should be organized, so They cant leave the computer lab without returning the chair on its
right place.
Feedback strategies:
- Most of the feedbacks will be orally.
What do you need for teaching & learning?
Materials & Resources:

- Self-Evaluation papers
Technology integration:
- Computer
- Video
- Presentation include transitions and animations
- Microsoft PowerPoint
