andletthedrylandappear:anditwasso.

14AndGodsaid,Lettherebelightsinthefirmamentoftheheaventodividetheday
fromthenightandletthembeforsigns,andforseasons,andfordays,andyears:
15Andletthembeforlightsinthefirmamentoftheheaventogivelightupontheearth:
anditwasso.
16AndGodmadetwogreatlightsthegreaterlighttoruletheday,andthelesserlightto
rulethenight:hemadethestarsalso.
17AndGodsettheminthefirmamentoftheheaventogivelightupontheearth,
18Andtoruleoverthedayandoverthenight,andtodividethelightfromthedarkness:
andGodsawthatitwasgood.
19Andtheeveningandthemorningwerethefourthday.
20AndGodsaid,Letthewatersbringforthabundantlythemovingcreaturethathath
life,andfowlthatmayflyabovetheearthintheopenfirmamentofheaven.

21AndGodcreatedgreatwhales,andeverylivingcreaturethatmoveth,whichthe
watersbroughtforthabundantly,aftertheirkind,andeverywingedfowlafterhiskind:
andGodsawthatitwasgood.
22AndGodblessedthem,saying,Befruitful,andmultiply,andfillthewatersinthe
seas,andletfowlmultiplyintheearth.
23Andtheeveningandthemorningwerethefifthday.
24AndGodsaid,Lettheearthbringforththelivingcreatureafterhiskind,cattle,and
creepingthing,andbeastoftheearthafterhiskind:anditwasso.
25AndGodmadethebeastoftheearthafterhiskind,andcattleaftertheirkind,and
everythingthatcreepethupontheearthafterhiskind:andGodsawthatitwasgood.
26AndGodsaid,Letusmakemaninourimage,afterourlikeness:andletthemhave
dominionoverthefishofthesea,andoverthefowloftheair,andoverthecattle,and
overalltheearth,andovereverycreepingthingthatcreepethupontheearth.
27SoGodcreatedmaninhisownimage,intheimageofGodcreatedhehimmaleand
femalecreatedhethem.
28AndGodblessedthem,andGodsaiduntothem,Befruitful,andmultiply,and
replenishtheearth,andsubdueit:andhavedominionoverthefishofthesea,andover
thefowloftheair,andovereverylivingthingthatmovethupontheearth.
29AndGodsaid,Behold,Ihavegivenyoueveryherbbearingseed,whichisuponthe
faceofalltheearth,andeverytree,inthewhichisthefruitofatreeyieldingseedtoyou
itshallbeformeat.
30Andtoeverybeastoftheearth,andtoeveryfowloftheair,andtoeverythingthat
creepethupontheearth,whereinthereislife,Ihavegiveneverygreenherbformeat:and
itwasso.
31AndGodsaweverythingthathehadmade,and,behold,itwasverygood.Andthe
eveningandthemorningwerethesixthday.

1Thustheheavensandtheearthwerefinished,andallthehostofthem.
2AndontheseventhdayGodendedhisworkwhichhehadmadeandherestedonthe
seventhdayfromallhisworkwhichhehadmade.
3AndGodblessedtheseventhday,andsanctifiedit:becausethatinithehadrested
fromallhisworkwhichGodcreatedandmade.
4Thesearethegenerationsoftheheavensandoftheearthwhentheywerecreated,in
thedaythattheLORDGodmadetheearthandtheheavens,
5Andeveryplantofthefieldbeforeitwasintheearth,andeveryherbofthefield
beforeitgrew:fortheLORDGodhadnotcausedittorainupontheearth,andtherewas
notamantotilltheground.
6Buttherewentupamistfromtheearth,andwateredthewholefaceoftheground.

7AndtheLORDGodformedmanofthedustoftheground,andbreathedintohis

nostrilsthebreathoflifeandmanbecamealivingsoul.

8AndtheLORDGodplantedagardeneastwardinEdenandthereheputtheman

whomhehadformed.

9AndoutofthegroundmadetheLORDGodtogroweverytreethatispleasanttothe
sight,andgoodforfoodthetreeoflifealsointhemidstofthegarden,andthetreeof

knowledgeofgoodandevil.

10AndariverwentoutofEdentowaterthegardenandfromthenceitwasparted,and

becameintofourheads.

11ThenameofthefirstisPison:thatisitwhichcompasseththewholelandofHavilah,

wherethereisgold

12Andthegoldofthatlandisgood:thereisbdelliumandtheonyxstone.

13AndthenameofthesecondriverisGihon:thesameisitthatcompasseththewhole

landofEthiopia.

14AndthenameofthethirdriverisHiddekel:thatisitwhichgoethtowardtheeastof

Assyria.AndthefourthriverisEuphrates.

15AndtheLORDGodtooktheman,andputhimintothegardenofEdentodressitand
tokeepit.

God warned

16AndtheLORDGodcommandedtheman,saying,Ofeverytreeofthegardenthou
Adam!!!!!
mayestfreelyeat:
17Butofthetreeoftheknowledgeofgoodandevil,thoushaltnoteatofit:forinthe
daythatthoueatestthereofthoushaltsurelydie.
18AndtheLORDGodsaid,ItisnotgoodthatthemanshouldbealoneIwillmakehim
anhelpmeetforhim.
19AndoutofthegroundtheLORDGodformedeverybeastofthefield,andeveryfowl
oftheairandbroughtthemuntoAdamtoseewhathewouldcallthem:andwhatsoever
Adamcalledeverylivingcreature,thatwasthenamethereof.
20AndAdamgavenamestoallcattle,andtothefowloftheair,andtoeverybeastof
thefieldbutforAdamtherewasnotfoundanhelpmeetforhim.
21AndtheLORDGodcausedadeepsleeptofalluponAdam,andheslept:andhetook
oneofhisribs,andclosedupthefleshinsteadthereof
22Andtherib,whichtheLORDGodhadtakenfromman,madeheawoman,and
broughtheruntotheman.
23AndAdamsaid,Thisisnowboneofmybones,andfleshofmyflesh:sheshallbe
calledWoman,becauseshewastakenoutofMan.
24Thereforeshallamanleavehisfatherandhismother,andshallcleaveuntohiswife:
andtheyshallbeoneflesh.
25Andtheywerebothnaked,themanandhiswife,andwerenotashamed.

1NowtheserpentwasmoresubtilthananybeastofthefieldwhichtheLORDGodhad
made.Andhesaiduntothewoman,Yea,hathGodsaid,Yeshallnoteatofeverytreeof
thegarden?
2Andthewomansaiduntotheserpent,Wemayeatofthefruitofthetreesofthe
garden:
3Butofthefruitofthetreewhichisinthemidstofthegarden,Godhathsaid,Yeshall
noteatofit,neithershallyetouchit,lestyedie.
4Andtheserpentsaiduntothewoman,Yeshallnotsurelydie:
5ForGoddothknowthatinthedayyeeatthereof,thenyoureyesshallbeopened,and

eat,andgavealsountoherhusbandwithherandhedideat.
7Andtheeyesofthembothwereopened,andtheyknewthattheywerenakedandthey
sewedfigleavestogether,andmadethemselvesaprons.
8AndtheyheardthevoiceoftheLORDGodwalkinginthegardeninthecoolofthe
day:andAdamandhiswifehidthemselvesfromthepresenceoftheLORDGod
amongstthetreesofthegarden.
9AndtheLORDGodcalleduntoAdam,andsaiduntohim,Whereartthou?
10Andhesaid,Iheardthyvoiceinthegarden,andIwasafraid,becauseIwasnaked
andIhidmyself.
11Andhesaid,Whotoldtheethatthouwastnaked?Hastthoueatenofthetree,whereof
Icommandedtheethatthoushouldestnoteat?
12Andthemansaid,Thewomanwhomthougavesttobewithme,shegavemeofthe
tree,andIdideat.
13AndtheLORDGodsaiduntothewoman,Whatisthisthatthouhastdone?Andthe
womansaid,Theserpentbeguiledme,andIdideat.
14AndtheLORDGodsaiduntotheserpent,Becausethouhastdonethis,thouart
cursedaboveallcattle,andaboveeverybeastofthefielduponthybellyshaltthougo,
anddustshaltthoueatallthedaysofthylife:
15AndIwillputenmitybetweentheeandthewoman,andbetweenthyseedandher
seeditshallbruisethyhead,andthoushaltbruisehisheel.
16Untothewomanhesaid,Iwillgreatlymultiplythysorrowandthyconceptionin
sorrowthoushaltbringforthchildrenandthydesireshallbetothyhusband,andheshall
ruleoverthee.

17AnduntoAdamhesaid,Becausethouhasthearkeneduntothevoiceofthywife,and
hasteatenofthetree,ofwhichIcommandedthee,saying,Thoushaltnoteatofit:cursed
isthegroundforthysakeinsorrowshaltthoueatofitallthedaysofthylife
18Thornsalsoandthistlesshallitbringforthtotheeandthoushalteattheherbofthe
field
19Inthesweatofthyfaceshaltthoueatbread,tillthoureturnuntothegroundforoutof
itwastthoutaken:fordustthouart,anduntodustshaltthoureturn.
20AndAdamcalledhiswife'snameEvebecauseshewasthemotherofallliving.
21UntoAdamalsoandtohiswifedidtheLORDGodmakecoatsofskins,andclothed
them.
22AndtheLORDGodsaid,Behold,themanisbecomeasoneofus,toknowgoodand
evil:andnow,lestheputforthhishand,andtakealsoofthetreeoflife,andeat,andlive
forever:
23ThereforetheLORDGodsenthimforthfromthegardenofEden,totilltheground
fromwhencehewastaken.
24SohedroveoutthemanandheplacedattheeastofthegardenofEdenCherubims,
andaflamingswordwhichturnedeveryway,tokeepthewayofthetreeoflife.

1AndAdamknewEvehiswifeandsheconceived,andbareCain,andsaid,Ihave
gottenamanfromtheLORD.
2AndsheagainbarehisbrotherAbel.AndAbelwasakeeperofsheep,butCainwasa
tilleroftheground.
3Andinprocessoftimeitcametopass,thatCainbroughtofthefruitofthegroundan
offeringuntotheLORD.
4AndAbel,healsobroughtofthefirstlingsofhisflockandofthefatthereof.Andthe
LORDhadrespectuntoAbelandtohisoffering:
5ButuntoCainandtohisofferinghehadnotrespect.AndCainwasverywroth,andhis
countenancefell.
6AndtheLORDsaiduntoCain,Whyartthouwroth?andwhyisthycountenance
fallen?
7Ifthoudoestwell,shaltthounotbeaccepted?andifthoudoestnotwell,sinliethatthe
door.Anduntotheeshallbehisdesire,andthoushaltruleoverhim.

shallIbehidandIshallbeafugitiveandavagabondintheearthanditshallcometo
pass,thateveryonethatfindethmeshallslayme.
15AndtheLORDsaiduntohim,ThereforewhosoeverslayethCain,vengeanceshallbe
takenonhimsevenfold.AndtheLORDsetamarkuponCain,lestanyfindinghim
shouldkillhim.
16AndCainwentoutfromthepresenceoftheLORD,anddweltinthelandofNod,on
theeastofEden.
17AndCainknewhiswifeandsheconceived,andbareEnoch:andhebuildedacity,
andcalledthenameofthecity,afterthenameofhisson,Enoch.
18AnduntoEnochwasbornIrad:andIradbegatMehujael:andMehujaelbegat
Methusael:andMethusaelbegatLamech.
19AndLamechtookuntohimtwowives:thenameoftheonewasAdah,andthename

1Anditcametopass,whenmenbegantomultiplyonthefaceoftheearth,and
daughterswerebornuntothem,
2ThatthesonsofGodsawthedaughtersofmenthattheywerefairandtheytookthem
wivesofallwhichtheychose.

3AndtheLORDsaid,Myspiritshallnotalwaysstrivewithman,forthathealsois
flesh:yethisdaysshallbeanhundredandtwentyyears.
4Thereweregiantsintheearthinthosedaysandalsoafterthat,whenthesonsofGod
cameinuntothedaughtersofmen,andtheybarechildrentothem,thesamebecame
mightymenwhichwereofold,menofrenown.
5AndGodsawthatthewickednessofmanwasgreatintheearth,andthatevery
imaginationofthethoughtsofhisheartwasonlyevilcontinually.
6AnditrepentedtheLORDthathehadmademanontheearth,anditgrievedhimathis
heart.
7AndtheLORDsaid,IwilldestroymanwhomIhavecreatedfromthefaceofthe
earthbothman,andbeast,andthecreepingthing,andthefowlsoftheairforit
repentethmethatIhavemadethem.
8ButNoahfoundgraceintheeyesoftheLORD.
9ThesearethegenerationsofNoah:Noahwasajustmanandperfectinhisgenerations,
andNoahwalkedwithGod.
10AndNoahbegatthreesons,Shem,Ham,andJapheth.
11TheearthalsowascorruptbeforeGod,andtheearthwasfilledwithviolence.
12AndGodlookedupontheearth,and,behold,itwascorruptforallfleshhad
corruptedhiswayupontheearth.
13AndGodsaiduntoNoah,Theendofallfleshiscomebeforemefortheearthisfilled
withviolencethroughthemand,behold,Iwilldestroythemwiththeearth.
14Maketheeanarkofgopherwoodroomsshaltthoumakeintheark,andshaltpitchit
withinandwithoutwithpitch.
15Andthisisthefashionwhichthoushaltmakeitof:Thelengthofthearkshallbe

18ButwiththeewillIestablishmycovenantandthoushaltcomeintotheark,thou,and
thysons,andthywife,andthysons'wiveswiththee.
19Andofeverylivingthingofallflesh,twoofeverysortshaltthoubringintotheark,to
keepthemalivewiththeetheyshallbemaleandfemale.
20Offowlsaftertheirkind,andofcattleaftertheirkind,ofeverycreepingthingofthe

21Andtakethouuntotheeofallfoodthatiseaten,andthoushaltgatherittotheeandit

1AndtheLORDsaiduntoNoah,Comethouandallthyhouseintothearkforthee
haveIseenrighteousbeforemeinthisgeneration.
2Ofeverycleanbeastthoushalttaketotheebysevens,themaleandhisfemale:andof
beaststhatarenotcleanbytwo,themaleandhisfemale.
3Offowlsalsooftheairbysevens,themaleandthefemaletokeepseedaliveuponthe
faceofalltheearth.
4Foryetsevendays,andIwillcauseittorainupontheearthfortydaysandforty
nightsandeverylivingsubstancethatIhavemadewillIdestroyfromoffthefaceofthe
earth.
5AndNoahdidaccordinguntoallthattheLORDcommandedhim.
6AndNoahwassixhundredyearsoldwhenthefloodofwaterswasupontheearth.
7AndNoahwentin,andhissons,andhiswife,andhissons'wiveswithhim,intothe
ark,becauseofthewatersoftheflood.
8Ofcleanbeasts,andofbeaststhatarenotclean,andoffowls,andofeverythingthat
creepethupontheearth,
9TherewentintwoandtwountoNoahintotheark,themaleandthefemale,asGod
hadcommandedNoah.
10Anditcametopassaftersevendays,thatthewatersofthefloodwereupontheearth.
11InthesixhundredthyearofNoah'slife,inthesecondmonth,theseventeenthdayof
themonth,thesamedaywereallthefountainsofthegreatdeepbrokenup,andthe
windowsofheavenwereopened.
12Andtherainwasupontheearthfortydaysandfortynights.
13IntheselfsamedayenteredNoah,andShem,andHam,andJapheth,thesonsof
Noah,andNoah'swife,andthethreewivesofhissonswiththem,intotheark

20Fifteencubitsupwarddidthewatersprevailandthemountainswerecovered.

22Allinwhosenostrilswasthebreathoflife,ofallthatwasinthedryland,died.
23Andeverylivingsubstancewasdestroyedwhichwasuponthefaceoftheground,
bothman,andcattle,andthecreepingthings,andthefowloftheheavenandtheywere
destroyedfromtheearth:andNoahonlyremainedalive,andtheythatwerewithhimin
theark.
24Andthewatersprevailedupontheearthanhundredandfiftydays.

1AndGodrememberedNoah,andeverylivingthing,andallthecattlethatwaswith
himintheark:andGodmadeawindtopassovertheearth,andthewatersassuaged
2Thefountainsalsoofthedeepandthewindowsofheavenwerestopped,andtherain
fromheavenwasrestrained
3Andthewatersreturnedfromofftheearthcontinually:andaftertheendofthe
hundredandfiftydaysthewaterswereabated.
4Andthearkrestedintheseventhmonth,ontheseventeenthdayofthemonth,uponthe
mountainsofArarat.
5Andthewatersdecreasedcontinuallyuntilthetenthmonth:inthetenthmonth,onthe
firstdayofthemonth,werethetopsofthemountainsseen.
6Anditcametopassattheendoffortydays,thatNoahopenedthewindowoftheark
whichhehadmade:
7Andhesentfortharaven,whichwentforthtoandfro,untilthewatersweredriedup
fromofftheearth.
8Alsohesentforthadovefromhim,toseeifthewaterswereabatedfromofftheface
oftheground
9Butthedovefoundnorestforthesoleofherfoot,andshereturneduntohimintothe
ark,forthewaterswereonthefaceofthewholeearth:thenheputforthhishand,and
tookher,andpulledherinuntohimintotheark.
10Andhestayedyetothersevendaysandagainhesentforththedoveoutoftheark
11Andthedovecameintohimintheeveningand,lo,inhermouthwasanoliveleaf
plucktoff:soNoahknewthatthewaterswereabatedfromofftheearth.

12Andhestayedyetothersevendaysandsentforththedovewhichreturnednotagain
untohimanymore.
13Anditcametopassinthesixhundredthandfirstyear,inthefirstmonth,thefirstday
ofthemonth,thewatersweredriedupfromofftheearth:andNoahremovedthe
coveringoftheark,andlooked,and,behold,thefaceofthegroundwasdry.
14Andinthesecondmonth,onthesevenandtwentiethdayofthemonth,wastheearth
dried.
15AndGodspakeuntoNoah,saying,
16Goforthoftheark,thou,andthywife,andthysons,andthysons'wiveswiththee.
17Bringforthwiththeeeverylivingthingthatiswiththee,ofallflesh,bothoffowl,and
ofcattle,andofeverycreepingthingthatcreepethupontheearththattheymaybreed
abundantlyintheearth,andbefruitful,andmultiplyupontheearth.
18AndNoahwentforth,andhissons,andhiswife,andhissons'wiveswithhim:
19Everybeast,everycreepingthing,andeveryfowl,andwhatsoevercreepethuponthe
earth,aftertheirkinds,wentforthoutoftheark.
20AndNoahbuildedanaltaruntotheLORDandtookofeverycleanbeast,andof
everycleanfowl,andofferedburntofferingsonthealtar.
21AndtheLORDsmelledasweetsavourandtheLORDsaidinhisheart,Iwillnot
againcursethegroundanymoreforman'ssakefortheimaginationofman'sheartisevil
fromhisyouthneitherwillIagainsmiteanymoreeverythingliving,asIhavedone.
22Whiletheearthremaineth,seedtimeandharvest,andcoldandheat,andsummerand
winter,anddayandnightshallnotcease.

1AndGodblessedNoahandhissons,andsaiduntothem,Befruitful,andmultiply,and
replenishtheearth.
2Andthefearofyouandthedreadofyoushallbeuponeverybeastoftheearth,and
uponeveryfowloftheair,uponallthatmovethupontheearth,anduponallthefishesof
theseaintoyourhandaretheydelivered.

2Andifthourefusetoletthemgo,behold,Iwillsmiteallthyborderswithfrogs:
3Andtherivershallbringforthfrogsabundantly,whichshallgoupandcomeintothine
house,andintothybedchamber,anduponthybed,andintothehouseofthyservants,
anduponthypeople,andintothineovens,andintothykneadingtroughs:
4Andthefrogsshallcomeupbothonthee,anduponthypeople,anduponallthy
servants.
5AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,SayuntoAaron,Stretchforththinehandwiththy
rodoverthestreams,overtherivers,andovertheponds,andcausefrogstocomeup
uponthelandofEgypt.

6AndAaronstretchedouthishandoverthewatersofEgyptandthefrogscameup,and
coveredthelandofEgypt.
7Andthemagiciansdidsowiththeirenchantments,andbroughtupfrogsupontheland
ofEgypt.
8ThenPharaohcalledforMosesandAaron,andsaid,IntreattheLORD,thathemay
takeawaythefrogsfromme,andfrommypeopleandIwillletthepeoplego,thatthey
maydosacrificeuntotheLORD.
9AndMosessaiduntoPharaoh,Gloryoverme:whenshallIintreatforthee,andforthy
servants,andforthypeople,todestroythefrogsfromtheeandthyhouses,thattheymay
remainintheriveronly?
10Andhesaid,Tomorrow.Andhesaid,Beitaccordingtothyword:thatthoumayest
knowthatthereisnonelikeuntotheLORDourGod.
11Andthefrogsshalldepartfromthee,andfromthyhouses,andfromthyservants,and
fromthypeopletheyshallremainintheriveronly.
12AndMosesandAaronwentoutfromPharaoh:andMosescrieduntotheLORD
becauseofthefrogswhichhehadbroughtagainstPharaoh.
13AndtheLORDdidaccordingtothewordofMosesandthefrogsdiedoutofthe
houses,outofthevillages,andoutofthefields.
14Andtheygatheredthemtogetheruponheaps:andthelandstank.
15ButwhenPharaohsawthattherewasrespite,hehardenedhisheart,andhearkened
notuntothemastheLORDhadsaid.
16AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,SayuntoAaron,Stretchoutthyrod,andsmitethe
dustoftheland,thatitmaybecomelicethroughoutallthelandofEgypt.
17AndtheydidsoforAaronstretchedouthishandwithhisrod,andsmotethedustof
theearth,anditbecameliceinman,andinbeastallthedustofthelandbecamelice
throughoutallthelandofEgypt.
18Andthemagiciansdidsowiththeirenchantmentstobringforthlice,buttheycould
not:sotherewereliceuponman,anduponbeast.
19ThenthemagicianssaiduntoPharaoh,ThisisthefingerofGod:andPharaoh'sheart
washardened,andhehearkenednotuntothemastheLORDhadsaid.
20AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Riseupearlyinthemorning,andstandbefore
Pharaohlo,hecomethforthtothewaterandsayuntohim,ThussaiththeLORD,Let
mypeoplego,thattheymayserveme.
21Else,ifthouwiltnotletmypeoplego,behold,Iwillsendswarmsoffliesuponthee,
anduponthyservants,anduponthypeople,andintothyhouses:andthehousesofthe
Egyptiansshallbefullofswarmsofflies,andalsothegroundwhereontheyare.
22AndIwillseverinthatdaythelandofGoshen,inwhichmypeopledwell,thatno
swarmsoffliesshallbetheretotheendthoumayestknowthatIamtheLORDinthe
midstoftheearth.

23AndIwillputadivisionbetweenmypeopleandthypeople:tomorrowshallthissign
be.
24AndtheLORDdidsoandtherecameagrievousswarmoffliesintothehouseof
Pharaoh,andintohisservants'houses,andintoallthelandofEgypt:thelandwas
corruptedbyreasonoftheswarmofflies.
25AndPharaohcalledforMosesandforAaron,andsaid,Goye,sacrificetoyourGod
intheland.
26AndMosessaid,Itisnotmeetsotodoforweshallsacrificetheabominationofthe
EgyptianstotheLORDourGod:lo,shallwesacrificetheabominationoftheEgyptians
beforetheireyes,andwilltheynotstoneus?
27Wewillgothreedays'journeyintothewilderness,andsacrificetotheLORDour
God,asheshallcommandus.
28AndPharaohsaid,Iwillletyougo,thatyemaysacrificetotheLORDyourGodin
thewildernessonlyyeshallnotgoveryfaraway:intreatforme.
29AndMosessaid,Behold,Igooutfromthee,andIwillintreattheLORDthatthe
swarmsoffliesmaydepartfromPharaoh,fromhisservants,andfromhispeople,to
morrow:butletnotPharaohdealdeceitfullyanymoreinnotlettingthepeoplegoto
sacrificetotheLORD.
30AndMoseswentoutfromPharaoh,andintreatedtheLORD.
31AndtheLORDdidaccordingtothewordofMosesandheremovedtheswarmsof
fliesfromPharaoh,fromhisservants,andfromhispeoplethereremainednotone.
32AndPharaohhardenedhisheartatthistimealso,neitherwouldheletthepeoplego.

7AndPharaohsent,and,behold,therewasnotoneofthecattleoftheIsraelitesdead.
AndtheheartofPharaohwashardened,andhedidnotletthepeoplego.

8AndtheLORDsaiduntoMosesanduntoAaron,Taketoyouhandfulsofashesofthe
furnace,andletMosessprinkleittowardtheheaveninthesightofPharaoh.
9AnditshallbecomesmalldustinallthelandofEgypt,andshallbeaboilbreaking
forthwithblainsuponman,anduponbeast,throughoutallthelandofEgypt.
10Andtheytookashesofthefurnace,andstoodbeforePharaohandMosessprinkledit
uptowardheavenanditbecameaboilbreakingforthwithblainsuponman,andupon
beast.
11AndthemagicianscouldnotstandbeforeMosesbecauseoftheboilsfortheboilwas
uponthemagicians,anduponalltheEgyptians.
12AndtheLORDhardenedtheheartofPharaoh,andhehearkenednotuntothemasthe
LORDhadspokenuntoMoses.
13AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Riseupearlyinthemorning,andstandbefore
Pharaoh,andsayuntohim,ThussaiththeLORDGodoftheHebrews,Letmypeoplego,
thattheymayserveme.
14ForIwillatthistimesendallmyplaguesuponthineheart,anduponthyservants,and
uponthypeoplethatthoumayestknowthatthereisnonelikemeinalltheearth.
15FornowIwillstretchoutmyhand,thatImaysmitetheeandthypeoplewith
pestilenceandthoushaltbecutofffromtheearth.
16AndinverydeedforthiscausehaveIraisedtheeup,fortoshewintheemypower
andthatmynamemaybedeclaredthroughoutalltheearth.
17Asyetexaltestthouthyselfagainstmypeople,thatthouwiltnotletthemgo?
18Behold,tomorrowaboutthistimeIwillcauseittorainaverygrievoushail,suchas
hathnotbeeninEgyptsincethefoundationthereofevenuntilnow.
19Sendthereforenow,andgatherthycattle,andallthatthouhastinthefieldforupon
everymanandbeastwhichshallbefoundinthefield,andshallnotbebroughthome,the
hailshallcomedownuponthem,andtheyshalldie.
20HethatfearedthewordoftheLORDamongtheservantsofPharaohmadehis
servantsandhiscattlefleeintothehouses:
21AndhethatregardednotthewordoftheLORDlefthisservantsandhiscattleinthe
field.
22AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Stretchforththinehandtowardheaven,thatthere
maybehailinallthelandofEgypt,uponman,anduponbeast,anduponeveryherbof
thefield,throughoutthelandofEgypt.
23AndMosesstretchedforthhisrodtowardheaven:andtheLORDsentthunderand
hail,andthefireranalonguponthegroundandtheLORDrainedhailuponthelandof
Egypt.
24Sotherewashail,andfiremingledwiththehail,verygrievous,suchastherewas
nonelikeitinallthelandofEgyptsinceitbecameanation.

25AndthehailsmotethroughoutallthelandofEgyptallthatwasinthefield,bothman
andbeastandthehailsmoteeveryherbofthefield,andbrakeeverytreeofthefield.
26OnlyinthelandofGoshen,wherethechildrenofIsraelwere,wastherenohail.
27AndPharaohsent,andcalledforMosesandAaron,andsaiduntothem,Ihavesinned
thistime:theLORDisrighteous,andIandmypeoplearewicked.
28IntreattheLORD(foritisenough)thattherebenomoremightythunderingsandhail
andIwillletyougo,andyeshallstaynolonger.
29AndMosessaiduntohim,AssoonasIamgoneoutofthecity,Iwillspreadabroad
myhandsuntotheLORDandthethundershallcease,neithershalltherebeanymore
hailthatthoumayestknowhowthattheearthistheLORD's.
30Butasfortheeandthyservants,IknowthatyewillnotyetfeartheLORDGod.
31Andtheflaxandthebarleywassmitten:forthebarleywasintheear,andtheflaxwas
bolled.
32Butthewheatandtheriewerenotsmitten:fortheywerenotgrownup.
33AndMoseswentoutofthecityfromPharaoh,andspreadabroadhishandsuntothe
LORD:andthethundersandhailceased,andtherainwasnotpouredupontheearth.
34AndwhenPharaohsawthattherainandthehailandthethunderswereceased,he
sinnedyetmore,andhardenedhisheart,heandhisservants.
35AndtheheartofPharaohwashardened,neitherwouldheletthechildrenofIsraelgo
astheLORDhadspokenbyMoses.

5Andtheyshallcoverthefaceoftheearth,thatonecannotbeabletoseetheearth:and
theyshalleattheresidueofthatwhichisescaped,whichremainethuntoyoufromthe
hail,andshalleateverytreewhichgrowethforyououtofthefield:
6Andtheyshallfillthyhouses,andthehousesofallthyservants,andthehousesofall
theEgyptianswhichneitherthyfathers,northyfathers'fathershaveseen,sincetheday
thattheywereupontheearthuntothisday.Andheturnedhimself,andwentoutfrom
Pharaoh.

7AndPharaoh'sservantssaiduntohim,Howlongshallthismanbeasnareuntous?let
themengo,thattheymayservetheLORDtheirGod:knowestthounotyetthatEgyptis
destroyed?
8AndMosesandAaronwerebroughtagainuntoPharaoh:andhesaiduntothem,Go,
servetheLORDyourGod:butwhoaretheythatshallgo?
9AndMosessaid,Wewillgowithouryoungandwithourold,withoursonsandwith
ourdaughters,withourflocksandwithourherdswillwegoforwemustholdafeast
untotheLORD.
10Andhesaiduntothem,LettheLORDbesowithyou,asIwillletyougo,andyour
littleones:looktoitforevilisbeforeyou.
11Notso:gonowyethataremen,andservetheLORDforthatyediddesire.Andthey
weredrivenoutfromPharaoh'spresence.
12AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,StretchoutthinehandoverthelandofEgyptforthe
locusts,thattheymaycomeupuponthelandofEgypt,andeateveryherboftheland,
evenallthatthehailhathleft.
13AndMosesstretchedforthhisrodoverthelandofEgypt,andtheLORDbroughtan
eastwinduponthelandallthatday,andallthatnightandwhenitwasmorning,theeast
windbroughtthelocusts.
14AndthelocustwentupoverallthelandofEgypt,andrestedinallthecoastsof
Egypt:verygrievousweretheybeforethemtherewerenosuchlocustsasthey,neither
afterthemshallbesuch.
15Fortheycoveredthefaceofthewholeearth,sothatthelandwasdarkenedandthey
dideateveryherboftheland,andallthefruitofthetreeswhichthehailhadleft:and
thereremainednotanygreenthinginthetrees,orintheherbsofthefield,throughallthe
landofEgypt.
16ThenPharaohcalledforMosesandAaroninhasteandhesaid,Ihavesinnedagainst
theLORDyourGod,andagainstyou.
17Nowthereforeforgive,Ipraythee,mysinonlythisonce,andintreattheLORDyour
God,thathemaytakeawayfrommethisdeathonly.
18AndhewentoutfromPharaoh,andintreatedtheLORD.
19AndtheLORDturnedamightystrongwestwind,whichtookawaythelocusts,and
castthemintotheRedseathereremainednotonelocustinallthecoastsofEgypt.
20ButtheLORDhardenedPharaoh'sheart,sothathewouldnotletthechildrenofIsrael
go.
21AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Stretchoutthinehandtowardheaven,thattheremay
bedarknessoverthelandofEgypt,evendarknesswhichmaybefelt.
22AndMosesstretchedforthhishandtowardheavenandtherewasathickdarknessin
allthelandofEgyptthreedays:

23Theysawnotoneanother,neitherroseanyfromhisplaceforthreedays:butallthe
childrenofIsraelhadlightintheirdwellings.
24AndPharaohcalleduntoMoses,andsaid,Goye,servetheLORDonlyletyour
flocksandyourherdsbestayed:letyourlittleonesalsogowithyou.
25AndMosessaid,Thoumustgiveusalsosacrificesandburntofferings,thatwemay
sacrificeuntotheLORDourGod.
26Ourcattlealsoshallgowithusthereshallnotanhoofbeleftbehindforthereofmust
wetaketoservetheLORDourGodandweknownotwithwhatwemustservethe
LORD,untilwecomethither.
27ButtheLORDhardenedPharaoh'sheart,andhewouldnotletthemgo.
28AndPharaohsaiduntohim,Gettheefromme,takeheedtothyself,seemyfaceno
moreforinthatdaythouseestmyfacethoushaltdie.
29AndMosessaid,Thouhastspokenwell,Iwillseethyfaceagainnomore.

1AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,YetwillIbringoneplaguemoreuponPharaoh,and
uponEgyptafterwardshewillletyougohence:whenheshallletyougo,heshallsurely
thrustyououthencealtogether.
2Speaknowintheearsofthepeople,andleteverymanborrowofhisneighbour,and
everywomanofherneighbour,jewelsofsilverandjewelsofgold.
3AndtheLORDgavethepeoplefavourinthesightoftheEgyptians.Moreovertheman
MoseswasverygreatinthelandofEgypt,inthesightofPharaoh'sservants,andinthe
sightofthepeople.
4AndMosessaid,ThussaiththeLORD,AboutmidnightwillIgooutintothemidstof
Egypt:
5AndallthefirstborninthelandofEgyptshalldie,fromthefirstbornofPharaohthat
sittethuponhisthrone,evenuntothefirstbornofthemaidservantthatisbehindthemill
andallthefirstbornofbeasts.
6AndthereshallbeagreatcrythroughoutallthelandofEgypt,suchastherewasnone
likeit,norshallbelikeitanymore.
7ButagainstanyofthechildrenofIsraelshallnotadogmovehistongue,againstman
orbeast:thatyemayknowhowthattheLORDdothputadifferencebetweenthe
EgyptiansandIsrael.
8Andallthesethyservantsshallcomedownuntome,andbowdownthemselvesunto
me,saying,Gettheeout,andallthepeoplethatfollowthee:andafterthatIwillgoout.
AndhewentoutfromPharaohinagreatanger.
9AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Pharaohshallnothearkenuntoyouthatmywonders
maybemultipliedinthelandofEgypt.

10AndMosesandAarondidallthesewondersbeforePharaoh:andtheLORDhardened
Pharaoh'sheart,sothathewouldnotletthechildrenofIsraelgooutofhisland.

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesandAaroninthelandofEgyptsaying,
2Thismonthshallbeuntoyouthebeginningofmonths:itshallbethefirstmonthofthe
yeartoyou.
3SpeakyeuntoallthecongregationofIsrael,saying,Inthetenthdayofthismonththey
shalltaketothemeverymanalamb,accordingtothehouseoftheirfathers,alambforan
house:
4Andifthehouseholdbetoolittleforthelamb,lethimandhisneighbournextuntohis
housetakeitaccordingtothenumberofthesoulseverymanaccordingtohiseating
shallmakeyourcountforthelamb.
5Yourlambshallbewithoutblemish,amaleofthefirstyear:yeshalltakeitoutfrom
thesheep,orfromthegoats:
6Andyeshallkeepitupuntilthefourteenthdayofthesamemonth:andthewhole
assemblyofthecongregationofIsraelshallkillitintheevening.
7Andtheyshalltakeoftheblood,andstrikeitonthetwosidepostsandontheupper
doorpostofthehouses,whereintheyshalleatit.
8Andtheyshalleatthefleshinthatnight,roastwithfire,andunleavenedbreadand
withbitterherbstheyshalleatit.
9Eatnotofitraw,norsoddenatallwithwater,butroastwithfirehisheadwithhis
legs,andwiththepurtenancethereof.
10Andyeshallletnothingofitremainuntilthemorningandthatwhichremainethofit
untilthemorningyeshallburnwithfire.
11Andthusshallyeeatitwithyourloinsgirded,yourshoesonyourfeet,andyourstaff
inyourhandandyeshalleatitinhaste:itistheLORD'spassover.
12ForIwillpassthroughthelandofEgyptthisnight,andwillsmiteallthefirstbornin
thelandofEgypt,bothmanandbeastandagainstallthegodsofEgyptIwillexecute
judgment:IamtheLORD.
13Andthebloodshallbetoyouforatokenuponthehouseswhereyeare:andwhenI
seetheblood,Iwillpassoveryou,andtheplagueshallnotbeuponyoutodestroyyou,
whenIsmitethelandofEgypt.
14Andthisdayshallbeuntoyouforamemorialandyeshallkeepitafeasttothe
LORDthroughoutyourgenerationsyeshallkeepitafeastbyanordinanceforever.
15Sevendaysshallyeeatunleavenedbreadeventhefirstdayyeshallputawayleaven
outofyourhouses:forwhosoevereatethleavenedbreadfromthefirstdayuntilthe
seventhday,thatsoulshallbecutofffromIsrael.

16Andinthefirstdaythereshallbeanholyconvocation,andintheseventhdaythere
shallbeanholyconvocationtoyounomannerofworkshallbedoneinthem,savethat
whicheverymanmusteat,thatonlymaybedoneofyou.
17AndyeshallobservethefeastofunleavenedbreadforinthisselfsamedayhaveI
broughtyourarmiesoutofthelandofEgypt:thereforeshallyeobservethisdayinyour
generationsbyanordinanceforever.
18Inthefirstmonth,onthefourteenthdayofthemonthateven,yeshalleatunleavened
bread,untiltheoneandtwentiethdayofthemonthateven.
19Sevendaysshalltherebenoleavenfoundinyourhouses:forwhosoevereateththat
whichisleavened,eventhatsoulshallbecutofffromthecongregationofIsrael,whether
hebeastranger,orbornintheland.
20Yeshalleatnothingleavenedinallyourhabitationsshallyeeatunleavenedbread.
21ThenMosescalledforalltheeldersofIsrael,andsaiduntothem,Drawoutandtake
youalambaccordingtoyourfamilies,andkillthepassover.
22Andyeshalltakeabunchofhyssop,anddipitinthebloodthatisinthebason,and
strikethelintelandthetwosidepostswiththebloodthatisinthebasonandnoneofyou
shallgooutatthedoorofhishouseuntilthemorning.
23FortheLORDwillpassthroughtosmitetheEgyptiansandwhenheseeththeblood
uponthelintel,andonthetwosideposts,theLORDwillpassoverthedoor,andwillnot
sufferthedestroyertocomeinuntoyourhousestosmiteyou.
24Andyeshallobservethisthingforanordinancetotheeandtothysonsforever.
25Anditshallcometopass,whenyebecometothelandwhichtheLORDwillgive
you,accordingashehathpromised,thatyeshallkeepthisservice.
26Anditshallcometopass,whenyourchildrenshallsayuntoyou,Whatmeanyeby
thisservice?
27Thatyeshallsay,ItisthesacrificeoftheLORD'spassover,whopassedoverthe
housesofthechildrenofIsraelinEgypt,whenhesmotetheEgyptians,anddeliveredour
houses.Andthepeoplebowedtheheadandworshipped.
28AndthechildrenofIsraelwentaway,anddidastheLORDhadcommandedMoses
andAaron,sodidthey.
29Anditcametopass,thatatmidnighttheLORDsmoteallthefirstborninthelandof
Egypt,fromthefirstbornofPharaohthatsatonhisthroneuntothefirstbornofthe
captivethatwasinthedungeonandallthefirstbornofcattle.
30AndPharaohroseupinthenight,he,andallhisservants,andalltheEgyptiansand
therewasagreatcryinEgyptfortherewasnotahousewheretherewasnotonedead.
31AndhecalledforMosesandAaronbynight,andsaid,Riseup,andgetyouforth
fromamongmypeople,bothyeandthechildrenofIsraelandgo,servetheLORD,asye
havesaid.
32Alsotakeyourflocksandyourherds,asyehavesaid,andbegoneandblessmealso.

33AndtheEgyptianswereurgentuponthepeople,thattheymightsendthemoutofthe
landinhastefortheysaid,Webealldeadmen.
34Andthepeopletooktheirdoughbeforeitwasleavened,theirkneadingtroughsbeing
boundupintheirclothesupontheirshoulders.
35AndthechildrenofIsraeldidaccordingtothewordofMosesandtheyborrowedof
theEgyptiansjewelsofsilver,andjewelsofgold,andraiment:
36AndtheLORDgavethepeoplefavourinthesightoftheEgyptians,sothattheylent
untothemsuchthingsastheyrequired.AndtheyspoiledtheEgyptians.
37AndthechildrenofIsraeljourneyedfromRamesestoSuccoth,aboutsixhundred
thousandonfootthatweremen,besidechildren.
38Andamixedmultitudewentupalsowiththemandflocks,andherds,evenvery
muchcattle.
39AndtheybakedunleavenedcakesofthedoughwhichtheybroughtforthoutofEgypt,
foritwasnotleavenedbecausetheywerethrustoutofEgypt,andcouldnottarry,
neitherhadtheypreparedforthemselvesanyvictual.
40NowthesojourningofthechildrenofIsrael,whodweltinEgypt,wasfourhundred
andthirtyyears.
41Anditcametopassattheendofthefourhundredandthirtyyears,eventheselfsame
dayitcametopass,thatallthehostsoftheLORDwentoutfromthelandofEgypt.
42ItisanighttobemuchobserveduntotheLORDforbringingthemoutfromtheland
ofEgypt:thisisthatnightoftheLORDtobeobservedofallthechildrenofIsraelin
theirgenerations.
43AndtheLORDsaiduntoMosesandAaron,Thisistheordinanceofthepassover:
Thereshallnostrangereatthereof:
44Buteveryman'sservantthatisboughtformoney,whenthouhastcircumcisedhim,
thenshallheeatthereof.
45Aforeignerandanhiredservantshallnoteatthereof.

18AndJesuscameandspakeuntothem,saying,Allpowerisgivenuntomeinheaven
andinearth.

oftheSon,andoftheHolyGhost:
20TeachingthemtoobserveallthingswhatsoeverIhavecommandedyou:and,lo,Iam
