Throughout this English 1010 course I have, above all else, learned how to right
an effective, elaborate, eloquent, and proper argumentative paper. We have been
taught the proper way to evaluate our own and others work as well as revise drafts of
important essays that need to be written and said in a specific and proper way.
Throughout this course, we have learned how to properly write and format an MLA style
analysis paper. Though I had been taught MLA formatting throughout my high-school
years, it was refreshing and useful to be able to go in depth on the style as to make sure
I have the formatting and style down for when the need arrises throughout the rest of
my educational and professional career.
The opportunity to work in a group setting for major assignments as part of
one larger project was one that I took a lot of positive lessons from. I learned how to collaborate and share ideas and to then take those ideas and put them into one assignment to make it much better than anything any of us could have done individually. The
group aspect of our project was also affective in bestowing time management skills
upon us as individuals and as a group. Though we all have different schedules,we all
individually found a way to get our individual assignments done so as to not disappoint
and fail the group as a whole. My personal assignment throughout the whole entire
group process was to put together, edit, and finalize the annotated bibliography. This

assignment taught me, above all else, the value and necessity of proper communication
when working as a team. Since this aspect of the project as a whole was so important, I
had to make sure I got all of my work done as well as encourage my group-mates to get
me their work in a timely fashion so that I had enough hours to put the final pieces together. As my academic and professional careers draw closer, I will certainly be able to
display what i have learned in this class through formal educational paper as well as
professional styles of writing. Even if the opportunity for formal reflective analysis never
appears in my future academic and professional life, I will still have learned the skills
and know-how to affective analyze and break-down a professional piece of academic
writing so as to fully understand and comprehend it's full meaning and purpose.
