Actun Chapat

From Top to Bottom: Issued in 1975, a series of stamps on the Maya, a vase from Actun Chapat was featured on one of the stamps. This vase is now found in the Belize
Museum. From the Early Classic (A.D. 250 - 600) it may have been imported from the Central Mexican Basin, and found in a small niche in Actun Chapat. Past the Rim Stone
Dam where Oxygen levels are dangerously low, a jaw bone was discovered along with several other bones and the rest of the skull to make it complete. The skull, belonged
to a young man, and he may have been carried here from a surface burial. A “Leaf Blade ” found in the far reaches past the lake, measured 8 inches and cut like it did the
first day it was used. (Now in Belmopan); The infamous Land Rover; A drawing of a Ghost Faced Bat, one of several species of Bats living here.
