English 2010 Reflection:
My reflection on the process and development as a writer through Spring semester contains
several accepted insights, the smartest thing I did in this class was by taking it. Mrs. Briggs
always said, That writing is a process. Coming towards the end of the semester when
reflecting, I realize she was right all along. It truly is. Although, each designed paper can
adequately prepare you to gear your communication into a context a lot better. Writing contains
perseverance. It first starts as an antecedent. The prior measures you take as a person to think
about what it is you are going to write. We learned a tool in this class to critically think about
what genre we could use in various papers. Getting us started to switch gears into several writing
strategies, learning antecedent thinking measures.
From there the first thing I thought about when the teacher introduced us to numerous
articles on the same subject was, What would I enjoy writing for the entire semester? Is there
something I can break down into writing in different ways? I did have two separate ideas that I
was interesting in, and it came between reforming criminal justice or Autism. I decided to work
with the Autism structure since I have a passion for it. The research process for this was by
looking at how to use these different writing methods from, memoirs, reviews, and the position
research. The research was used in extreme measures, not only by understanding the realms of

what the teacher was looking for but also doing enough research to gain the ability to write more
proactively.
After each paper, we had gone through one-on-one peer review, which I believed was one of
the most useful tools, not only by the teachers help with revisions and her way of showing
means of writing. But what I also took from peer review is the understanding between myself
and other people. How I may communicate with people but how others have become efficient at
it and I learned from them as well. I found out that even in this process of writing I was learning
both as an editor and a recipient of this, gaining a repetitious learning pattern.
Patterns I was even still learning through verbal communication skills, during the last days of
class, we placed ourselves in groups for presentations. With the process of presentations, I
learned I worked well with a team even when schedules conflicted. We still seemed to give the
best we could in a small duration of time. From watching other students, I became more
knowledgeable about how I can be more effective when speaking in front of an audience, which
then gave me a new measurement of understanding that I will continuously work at this.
Beyond this, I have developed in different ways by English 2010, not only by learning
different writing strategies but also understanding that when it comes to communication, it can
always be reformed. I now can say I have gone through various writing and how to branch off
from one topic and create many multiple different genres from it as well as creating awesome
designs and styles to my writing. This writing class taught me strategies to form arguments as
well as understanding them and by becoming credible and knowledgeable for myself, I learned
how to research critically and rhetorically which will always help me in future classes and
occurrences in life.
