Explain: Ms. Kavas explained the topic by reading on the power point after her lecture she
showed some models of geometric shapes to make the subject clear. Then the students started
to solve some questions. At the end of the class she assigned homework to evaluate the
students. She modified the homework for ELL students.

Explain: Students were given warm-up question using overhead projector. Teacher used power
point to explain the topic and practiced some question using smart board.

Explain: Students were given worksheets of power point and took some notes on them. They
practiced some questions using clickers and mini board as a whole class. At the end of the
class they were assigned homework.

Explain: The teacher was prepared for the lesson she had all power points and worksheet for
homework. She gave stickers when the student answers a question correctly. Student who has
more stickers will receive a gift card at the end of the year. She covers one topic in one class
period. Her class management was pretty much good. The students know all class rules and
consequences. They behaved well.

OVERALL COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS:


This class was a Geometry class for 9th grade. Students were engaged with class activities.
Especially when they used clickers and mini boards they enjoyed the lesson. The teacher made
students to participate the lesson 100 % with those activities. She also tried to spend more time
with the students who need help while other students on their task. Classroom rules and
consequences were practiced before thats why the students were nice to each other and their
teacher.
