Reflection: I was amazed by how many different resources there are for all the different content
areas to integrate technology into your classroom. I did find it somewhat hard to continue to find
new and unique ideas on how to use technology in the classroom. For example, I did use the use
of videos from different websites as a resource for students to draw more information a few
times in separate content areas. I also noticed that I liked to go back and use different ideas from
when I was a student in elementary school. Although those techniques and activities might have
been new and exciting for my generation, I fear they will be too basic and boring for this fast
pace, flash learning generation. I also was slightly concerned that some of the selected
technology would be too difficult for students to navigate. I tried finding technology for younger
levels, because if I needed to enhance it to challenge my students that would be easier than trying
to simplify it. I also found that I was draw to certain types of standards over and over again, and
that makes me realize that I need to branch out and not only challenge my students but myself as
well. I need to be more active in finding even better technology based activities for my students
because that is the way they are learning now. Unless I find new and exciting ways to capture
my students attention through technology, I fear they will not have as much fun in the classroom
and take away a love for learning like I hope they will.
