I am highly interested in obtaining an Early Childhood through Sixth Grade

position within Krum ISD. I will be completing my Student Teaching experience with
NISD, alongside my graduation from the University of North Texas in May 2016.
Northwest ISD has prepared me with the appropriate methods and skills necessary
to foster student success.
Throughout my Student Teaching experience at Prairie View Elementary, I
have learned more about the impact of an educator on a childs life. I have
facilitated experiences for students to meet high expectations and provided
appropriate differentiation for specific students. I believe that it is adamant that I, as
an educator, meet the specific needs of each student, so that they may reach their
goals. As a Student Teacher in NISD, I have worked collaboratively with teams of
teachers in order to create and provide learning opportunities for student success. I
have generated goals for and with students and strived to ensure these students
met their goals, as well as the schools goals. I believe in incorporating technology
and hands-on learning wherever possible. I have taken student questions and
transformed them into research opportunities, then allowed the participating
students to share their findings with the class. I have had the chance to experience
students gaining more knowledge and exceeding high expectations through their
own inquiry. I believe it is necessary to facilitate student-based opportunities and
allow students to dig deep into their learning.
I am very impressed with the expectations that Krum ISD sets for not only
their teachers, but their students as well. I believe that high expectations along with
positivity, support and the incorporation of technology are key components in
preparing todays students for the future. As an educator, I will be able to live out
my passion for guiding children along the path of becoming successful, productive
citizens.
