Project #1

I see that the seasonal labor force had dropped from its peak in
2000 but is starting to turn around and climb. As of March 2016
the scale sated 63.0 so we are seeing an improvement.

What this graph shows me is the fluctuation in labor force

compared to unemployment rates. You can see the dislocated
workers are lower than the actual total unemployed due to

economic reasoning. This tells me there are more people

unemployed due to a lack of jobs than actually being laid off.

On this chart I see that as time goes on the real wage increases
in the economy. This is due to the ongoing demand for higher
wage which in turn increases the cost of living the economy.

Project 3

I found it quite interesting to see that West Virginia has the highest
Unemployment rate. Seems like only a few years ago there was mass
hysteria about Oregon having the highest unemployment rate.

I chose o explore the poverty level of individuals 65 and older. I spent a

year in Eugene and I believed that Oregon particularly in that area had
a homeless problem. If I am reading this data correctly we have over
74 thousand people who are 65 and over whom may or may not be
homeless but are living in poverty. I believe his is an unacceptable
rate. No one should have to live in such a state.
