To Whom it May Concern:

I highly recommend Catherine Megison as a candidate for a teaching

position. I had the honor of working with Catherine as my student teacher for
the spring semester of the 2015-16 school year. My students and I were truly
blessed to have had Catherine as part of our classroom. As her mentor
teacher, I was impressed with how she jumped in on the first day of student
teaching and took over the class. This interaction led to a quick and easy
transition into full responsibility and classroom leadership.
Catherine has accumulated extensive and comprehensive experience in the
teaching field. She has experience in high school, middle school and
elementary settings across multiple subjects in both general and special
education. She has also worked in a variety of fields, including resource,
content mastery, life skills, and general education classrooms. In addition to
her experience in the academic settings, Catherine has also assisted with
district programs like EOC testing and IEP meetings. In addition to her
classroom experience, Catherine served as a nanny for 3 years for a woman
with severe disabilities. She is also conversational in American Sign
Language. Additionally, she spent two summers working with children with
disabilities at a camp and is a buddy for a child with Down syndrome at her
church. Furthermore, Catherine has an excellent education background to
augment in her field experience, including a degree with honors from Texas
A&M with a 3.86 GPA.
Catherine has many desirable qualities that will make her an exceptional
educator. She quickly builds rapport with students and maintains that
relationship in order to facilitate learning. She knows how to motivate
students to remain engaged in the learning process. She does this
seamlessly by using research based best practices including universal
design, active engagement, differentiated instruction, growth mindset and
student centered learning. Not only is she able to plan instruction, but she
also use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate student
learning, masterfully orchestrate classroom discussions and effectively
manage classroom routines and student behavior. Furthermore, Catherine is
very cooperative, professional, reliable and easy to work with. She not only
builds and maintains great rapport with students, but faculty, parents and
community members as well. Overall, she is dedicated, hardworking and
committed to life-long learning and continued development as an educator.
I recommend Catherine to you without reservation. She will be an asset in
any area of education. If you have any further questions with regard to her
background, experience or qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact
me.

Sincerely,
Yvette Bedell
