Reflection 1
(Parts of Plants Lesson)

On the 24th of February 2016, I taught the first lesson in my Fourth teaching practice at KG2 class which
has 26 students. I choose science subjects to teach the students and I picked parts of plant lesson. I chose
this lesson because the classs teacher had a plan for this week which includes different aims which she
should apply them all and one of this aims was (Identify the parts of the plant).

There are 2 mains strategies I have successfully applied its during the teaching which are sing
a song for warm up and doing some movement. I used to sing a song as warm up because in
my privies teaching practice I applied sing a song technique and it was effective positively to
attract the students attention and engage them to gain the knowledge through doing something
they like it such sing a song. The second strategy was doing some movement to let the children
engage and practice with me. I applied doing some movement to let the students reduce their
power and let them focus strongly because doing some movement help the students to stimulate
their brain to acquire the knowledge. Reusing sing a song or doing some movement technique
in my next lesson will organize my students, let them be fresh, happy and capable of learning
more. In addition, I support my reasons with Stephen Krashens theory. Krashen who is a
theorist believed that the children if they were happy and safe, they will learn well (Johnson,
H. 2013).
I achieved my learning outcomes during the whole lesson. I have noticed that through observed
the students when they do their activities, ask them open-ended questions and listen to their
answers and evaluated their work. Also, I recognized that they have a strong ability to gain the
knowledge even if I create hard activities which fit with each differentiation level.
I felt happy and satisfied with my performance in teaching because the students were active
with me and answer my questions. In addition, the students interacted with my activities and
completed quickly.
Finally, my lesson flows smoothly because I prepared my materials and managed the time by
writing my lesson plan and follow it. In addition, I put each of differentiation activity in
separate tables and made sure all the materials available for each group.

Reflection 2
(Letter L Lesson)

I taught a lesson about Letter L on the first of March 2016. I started the lesson with the routine
which include hello song, good morning song, take the attendance, review the rules and read
the Holly Quran. The routine helps the students to manage themselves because they follow
steps which organize their lesson. After the routine, I did a quick review for the theme which
is weather for 4 seasons that warm up the children to be ready to start a new lesson. The review
include real objects such as water and leaves which help the children to interact and be excited
to start the lesson. Also, I include the Blooms Taxonomys questions which encourage all
students in different learning abilities to answer the questions which develop their cognitive
skills.
I started the lesson adding a role play show by using a mask of lion then I asked the children
open-ended questions during the role play activity. I applied asking open-ended questions
method because I learned from Ms.Tony the important of it which are develop the childrens
cognitive, imagination and solving problem skills. Also, open-ended questions let the children
engage into the role play and show their talents.
During the circle time activities, my children recognize the main concept of the lesson which
helps them to do the differentiation activities easily. The differentiation activities were fit in
the children abilities. Also, using accommodation activities let the special need students
interact with their friends without any problems or misbehave.
Through teaching Letter L lesson, I learned that I should read more about how to manage the
students by using different strategies because in the beginning of the lesson the special need
student and another student did some noisy.

Reflection 3
(Baby Animals Lesson)

On the 11th of April 2016, I taught a lesson about the baby animals. I started the lesson by
applying the routine because it help the children to focus and be organized. I recognized the
children were active because in the beginning of the lesson they do some movement then I told
them if they behave in a good way we will listen to a baby animals song and do some extra
movement and acting. That influence my children to practice and participate during the lesson.
After the Circle time activity, they moved to their tables to start their differentiation activities. They
completed the differentiation activities quickly because they were excited to act like the animals during

listening to the song. However, before the song I let the special choose one of the baby animals
which are kitten, puppy, Bunny and chick then they will act like them then the children will
guess the name of the baby animals.
The lesson moved smoothly because the children committed the rules and engaged during the
activities. That happened because I applied lots of performance art activities which helped the
children to express their knowledge and developed their abilities.

Reflection 4
(2D Triangle Lesson)

I taught the fourth lesson on the 13th of April 2016 which is about the 2D triangle shape. The
children interacted with me during the circle time which encourage them to be ready to accept
new knowledge. The story were effective because through it the children answer my openended questions and identify the 2D triangle. Also, the children told me where they can find a
2D triangle in our life.
The differentiation activities were extremely effective because the children engaged in
completing it through using their mathematical skills. I noticed that this time is the first time
for the children to learned new mathematical process by engaging them in hands-on activities.
The hands-on, solving problem and cognitive activities develop the children abilities and enrich
their knowledge.
For the future, I should develop the lesson plan by adding art performance art activity which
related to the shape to enhance the childrens knowledge through applying performance art
activity.

Reflection 5
(Letter G Lesson)

On the 18th of April 2016, I taught a lesson which about letter G. As usual, I started the lesson
with ABCs song to attract the children and make them active to pay their attention during the
whole lesson. When I asked the children to repeat the letter G words after me, the students were
very active and they recognize the words quickly. I saw that the low level and special need
children became independent learner because some of them start to spell a full word. After the
PowerPoint activity, I completed the book task with the children and fter that we moved to the
differentiation activities. Through my observation to assess the children, the differentiation
activities effect on the childrens abilities and develop it. Also, my MST enjoyed the activities
through go to each table and doing the different activities which is in for each table. Then she
evaluated my work and thanked me to engage the children in hands-on activities which support
their abilities and develop it.

Reflection 6
(Addition Lesson)

On the 19th of April 2016, I taught a lesson which is about addition. I started my lesson with
routine and include songs to let the students be active and start their lesson in a fresh mind.
In this lesson, I used my prize system and it was effective positively in managing children. I
will reapply the prize system because the students managed their behaviours, pay attention and
answer my open-ended questions about the addition to get a prize which is the shape of the
week a star stickers. When I used prize system that encorage the weak students to participate
and engage with other students which develop their social relationships. I reward the students
who committed the good behaviours and who tried to commit the good behaviours. Thus, all
the students will improve their performers. Reward style supporting by Skinners theory which
include that when adult rewards the children's good behaviour it will affect in a positive way.
Thus, the good behaviour will happen repeatedly (Ahmad, B. 2004).
I was amazed and surprised when I apply the whole class activities because during these
activities the students were answered, describe and using the different style of counting without
any help or instructions from me. Through observing my students when they do my evaluation
activities, I recognized that I achieved my learning goals and plan. The students were capable
of applying the hands-on activities easily.
I feel proud of myself because I illustrated the lesson and include the features of the addition
process in easily way. Also, I achieved my goals and let the children engage and explore the
goals through established strategies they like it such as doing some movement and sing a song.
Thus, the students will acquire the addition lesson quickly because I include funny and handson activities.
