Prior Knowledge (What knowledge are you building in?)


The students have a previous knowledge about the words that related to
the Date and days unit such as; clean, rake, celebrate , tree and to
plant . Moreover, pupils have a background about the special days on
April from the previous lessons like; children's' book day, be kind to
animal day, world health day. This lesson will be an introduction to the
next lesson so teacher will focus on the new vocabulary of the story.
Lesson Objectives: (What will students be able to do by the end
of the lesson?)
(These must be SMART objectives specific, measurable, achievable,
relevant, timely)
- By the end of the lesson students will be able to :

Recognize the new vocabulary of the story. For instance, Hung,


Drop, Ask, Idea, Queen, Fireworks Day, Joke Day, Hug-aTree Day, Be-Nice-toHorses Day, Drop-the-Boom Day
and Yard.
Classify the new words and match it with the suitable picture.
