Physical Therapy (DPT)

Physical

Therapists work with all ages in

the rehabilitation of the body. They
diagnose, treat, and prevent injuries. A PT
will come up with a treatment plan for
their patient and work them through it
until they are able to preform the action
desired.

DPT

(Doctorate of Physical Therapy)

To obtain your DPT you must go through 8
years of schooling or the accelerated 6 year
programs. Throughout your schooling you
will go though numerous biology, chemistry,
anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology. Many
residencies and internships are also
completed. Once completed continual
education is needed in order to stay
certified.

Other

qualifications helpful in this field

would be time spent in either an inpatient or out-patient setting.
Observational hours are usually required
by universities to be accepted.
