Explanation:
In my international business letter, I began by ordering the date as they do in Argentina
with the day first, followed by the month, and finally the year. I then made sure to include an
accent on the n in the word, Seor as a form of respect for his native language of Spanish. I
expressed my admiration for Argentina and his business early on in the first paragraph because in
the chapter I read on Argentina, it advises business people to behave friendly as that is what well
produce a good relationship with business people of Argentina. This good relationship was
emphasized to be essential in getting things done between yourself and an Argentine business.
Within the second paragraph, I introduced myself and noted an achievement of the business he
runs in that it was the second largest bank in the nation. This sort of acknowledgement
provides sincerity in my reason behind writing the letter because it shows him that I took the
time to actually learn about his company rather than just randomly selecting his business to sell
to. I also intentionally wrote to him in a very captivated way because in the chapter I read, I
learned that Argentine people value reputation greatly and that some men still hold the idea that
they are in some way superior so I wrote him things like a man of your reputation. In the third
and fourth paragraphs, I made sure to identify exactly how ADT would benefit their company. I
made sure to incorporate family safety as one of the benefits because in Argentina, family is of
the upmost importance. My final paragraph just respectfully dismissed me from the letter and
thanked him for taking the time to read my letter. I then provided my contact information at the
end.
