ClubFundingPolicy
SectionI.GeneralTerms
1. AllfundingwillbeinaccordancewithArticleXIV,Section4,oftheAssociatedStudent
GovernmentByLaws.
2. AllorganizationsseekingfundingfromtheAssociatedStudentGovernmentmustbe
chartedinaccordancewiththeAssociatedStudentGovernmentConstitution,ByLaws,
andCampusRulesandPoliciesAffectingStudentOrganizations.
3. InordertobeeligibleforanyfundingfromtheAssociatedStudentGovernment,theclub
mustbeanactivememberof ICC,withatleastone(1)representativefromtheclubs
attendingallInterClubCouncilmeetings.AnactivememberisdefinedbyICC
constitutionandByLaws.
4. Inordertobeeligibleforfunding,everyofficer,aswellasonehundredpercent(100%)
ofthegeneralmembership(atleast10memberstotalorupto50members)mustposses
acurrentAssociatedStudentmembershipinthesemesterthatfundsarerequested.
5. Theclubmusthelpinraisingthegeneralstudentbodysschoolspiritinsomeway.
(Forexample:FestivalofColors,CincodeMayo,AsianPacificHeritageCelebration,
BlackHistoryMonth,HealthServicesFair,andAssociatedStudentactivities,etc.)
6. TheClubmustmakesomesincereefforttoraisetheirownfundsandattainfinancial
responsibility,andmustbeabletoprovideproofand/oradequaterecordsoftheirefforts.
7. ClubsarerequiredtomeetwithanAssociatedStudentSenatorthatwillrequestfunding
approximatelythree(3)weeksbeforethefundsneedtobeallocated.TheSenatorand
theclubwillbeaccountableforprovidingnecessarydocumentsandpresentingitatthe
scheduledAssociatedStudentmeeting.
8. TheAssociatedStudentGovernmentmustberecognizedinallpublicitydealingswith
anyfunction wheretheAssociatedStudentsfundsareused,unlessotherwisedeemedby
theAssociatedStudentGovernment.(E.G.Logo)
9. AcopyofthispolicyistobesignedbythePresident,Treasurer,andAdvisorin
agreementtoitsterms.AndturnedinwiththeClubPacket.Thesignedoriginalwill
remainonfileintheStudentAffairsofficeonasemestertosemesterbasis.
10. TheClubshallreceivenomorethansection,II,IIIandIV.
11. Exceptionstothispolicyshallbemadeunderextenuatingcircumstancesasdefinedbya
twothirds(2/3)majorityvoteoftheAssociatedStudentExecutiveCouncilandthe
Senate.
12. Amendmentstothispolicymustbeapprovedbyatwothirds(2/3)majorityvoteofboth
theAssociatedStudentGovernmentExecutiveCouncilandSenate,andshalltakeeffect
thefollowingsemester.
SectionII.FundingforCampusActivities
1. TheAssociatedStudentGovernmentmayprovidefundsuptofiftypercent(50%)ofthe
totalcostneededtosupportclubinvolvementwithcampusactivities,nottoexceedfive
hundreddollars($500.00)perclubpersemester.

2. Fundsshallbedeterminedwithconsiderationofthefollowing:
a.
Thevalueofthespecificeventtothegeneralstudybody.
b.
Thetotalamountoffundsneededtoholdthespecificevent.
c.
Thepresentbalanceintheclubstreasury,andthereforewhatamounttheyare
abletoexpendfortheevent.
d.
Theclubhasutilizedclubmatchingfundsatleastpartiallyforthatsemester.
3. Allfundswillbedispersedonafirstcomefirstservebasis..
SectionIII.FundingforConferences
1. TheAssociatedStudentGovernmentmayprovidefundsuptofiftypercent(50%)ofthe
totalcostneededfortransportation,registration,andlodgingfornomorethanfive(5)
memberswithcurrentAssociatedStudentmembershipandone(1)facultyadvisorfrom
theclub,nottoexceedonethousanddollars($1000.00)perclubpersemester.
2. Requestsforfundingcanbemadeasoftenasnecessarythroughoutthesemesteroruntil
thelimitof$1000.00hasbeenmet.
3. TheAssociatedStudentGovernmentrequiresawrittenconferencereportfromeach
personattendingtheconference.Duedateforthereportswillbeten(10)daysfromthe
dateofreturn. FailuretocomplywillresultinsuspensionofAssociatedStudentfunding
forthesemesterandtheclubswillberequiredtopayback50%ofwhattheAssociated
Studentfundinghadgiven.
4. TheAssociatedStudentGovernmentreservestherighttorequestaworkshoppr
presentationtobegiventotheSenateBoardwithin15daysofthereturningdate.
5. All fundswillbedispersedthroughtheClubConferencesaccountuntilfundsare
exhausted.Atthetime,nofurtherrequestsforfundingwillbeaccepted.
6. Allfundswillbedispersedonafirstcomefirstservebasis.
SectionIV.MatchingFunds
1. TheAssociatedStudentGovernmentmaymatchuptofivehundreddollars($500.00)
basedonmoneyearnedthroughaclubslegitimatefundraisingefforts.
2. Moneyaccumulatedthroughmemberdues,vendorfeesandothervariousdonationsshall
notqualifyaslegitimatefundraisingefforts,andwillnotbeconsideredformatching
funds.(Note:SeeGeneral,Term,andItem6).
3. Allmoniesbeingusedtorequestmatchingfundsmusthavebeenraisedinthesame
semesterthatmatchingfundsarebeingsought.
4. Requestsforfundingcanbemadeasoftenasnecessarythroughoutthesemesteruntilthe
limitof$500.00hasbeenmet.
5. AllfundswillbedispersedthroughtheClubMatchingFunds/Conferencesaccountuntil
fundsareexhausted.Atthattime,nofurtherrequestsforfundingwillbeaccepted.
6. Allfundswillbedispersedonthefirstcomefirstservebasis.
