TUHAN YESUS SEBAGAI ARAH PANDANG

JESUS AS THE DIRECTION OF VIEW

"I always look to the Lord, because He is at my right hand, I will not
be shaken." Psalm 16: 8
"Aku senantiasa memandang kepada TUHAN; karena Ia berdiri di
sebelah kananku, aku tidak goyah." Mazmur 16:8
The eye has a very vital function is to look at an object. The Bible
states, "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your
whole body is clear; if your eye is bad, your whole body was dark.
So if the light in you is darkness, how dark his darkness." (Matthew
6: 22-23).
Mata memiliki fungsi sangat vital yaitu untuk melihat suatu obyek.
Alkitab menyatakan, "Mata adalah pelita tubuh. Jika matamu baik,
teranglah seluruh tubuhmu; jika matamu jahat, gelaplah seluruh
tubuhmu. Jadi jika terang yang ada padamu gelap, betapa gelapnya
kegelapan itu." (Matius 6:22-23).
If we have eyes functioning properly will positively impact all
aspects of our lives. Conversely, if we the proper functioning of our
eyes to things that the negative impact will be negative. To get the
best results and maximum important that we turn our eyes to the
true object, because if one looked at can have fatal consequences.
Jika kita memfungsikan mata ini dengan baik dan benar akan
berdampak positif bagi seluruh aspek kehidupan kita. Sebaliknya
jika kita memfungsikan mata kita untuk hal-hal yang negatif
dampaknya pun akan negatif. Untuk mendapatkan hasil terbaik dan
maksimal penting sekali kita mengarahkan mata kita ke obyek yang
benar, sebab jika salah memandang bisa berakibat sangat fatal.
Bible records, "On one occasion in the evening, when David
got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace,
seemed to him on the roof of a woman was bathing; the woman was
very beautiful to look upon." (2 Samuel 11: 2). Because eyes on
Bathsheba bathing David eventually fall into the sin of adultery and
must suffer the consequences.
Alkitab mencatat, "Sekali peristiwa pada waktu petang, ketika
Daud bangun dari tempat pembaringannya, lalu berjalan-jalan di
atas sotoh istana, tampak kepadanya dari atas sotoh itu seorang
perempuan sedang mandi; perempuan itu sangat elok rupanya." (2
Samuel 11:2). Karena matanya terarah ke Betsyeba yang sedang
mandi akhirnya Daud jatuh dalam dosa perzinahan dan harus
menanggung akibatnya.
Beware! which way we looked define our future. "Let us fix our eyes

(Hebrews 12: 2). Turn towards the Lord Jesus means focusing on
Him, to imitate His character, to follow His ways and hold fast to his
promise.
Berhati-hatilah! ke mana arah kita memandang menentukan masa
depan kita. "Marilah kita melakukannya dengan mata yang tertuju
kepada Yesus, yang memimpin kita dalam iman, dan yang
membawa iman kita itu kepada kesempurnaan, yang dengan
mengabaikan kehinaan tekun memikul salib ganti sukacita yang
disediakan bagi Dia, yang sekarang duduk di sebelah kanan takhta
Allah." (Ibrani 12:2). Mengarahkan pandangan kepada Tuhan Yesus
berarti berfokus kepada-Nya, meneladani karakter-Nya, mengikut
jalan-Nya dan memegang teguh janji-Nya.

and said: 'It is a ghost!', And they cried out for fear." (Matthew
14:26). They thought that approaching them is a ghost. Jesus said,
"Be quiet! It is I. Do not be afraid!" (Matthew 14:27).
When we begin to shift the direction of view, no longer directed to
the Lord Jesus, but the problem, we would be scared and weak!
Ketika perahu murid-murid dilanda angin sakal datanglah Tuhan
Yesus menghampiri mereka untuk menolong. Tetapi ketika "...Dia
berjalan di atas air, mereka terkejut dan berseru: 'Itu hantu!', lalu
berteriak-teriak karena takut." (Matius 14:26). Mereka menyangka
bahwa yang mendatangi mereka adalah hantu. Tuhan Yesus
berkata, "Tenanglah! Aku ini, jangan takut!" (Matius 14:27).
Ketika arah pandang kita mulai bergeser, tidak lagi terarah kepada
Tuhan Yesus, tapi kepada masalah, kita pasti akan takut dan lemah!
