There are many factors in my production that could lead to backlash from the
audience and peers. This includes privacy issues, defamation, race
discrimination, gender discrimination and copyright issues.
I will need to make sure that I contact the artist through their record label: Future
Classic, in order to ask for permission to use their song for my production. If I
didnt do this I would face copyright issues as I would be using their song without
permission. Furthermore, music videos are also seen as a way of advertising
music and since the artist and their record label havent asked me to produce
anything to promote their song, I would still need to ask for the usage of the
music.
In regards to discrimination, I have made sure to use a diverse cast in both race
and gender. My cast will feature both men and women of different races and
ethnicity. This is because the target audience is quite large and I want to aim my
production at a large group of people. I have chosen my lead protagonist of the
production to be female to also appeal to my target audience as young people
can relate more to media formats that challenge stereotypes and conventions.
