Globalization
A new category called world music had begun during this
decade. In popular music markets, ethnic music and world music
was a term used for how music from other places had mixed in with
ours to create possibly a whole new genre of music! I think that 80s
music was positively influenced by globalization. Without music
from the past, we would not have the variety of music we have
today! I strongly believe that the music that we listen to today has
some connection with music from the past (60s, 70s, 80,
90s).Without the globalization of music, it wouldn't have the
strong and efficient effect that it has today.
