INTRODUCTION
The Aluminium Industries Ltd came into existence on 2nd Jan 1946, promoted by the wellknown Seshasaye Group, with its conductor division set up in Kundara, Kerala under technical
collaboration from world renowned ALCAN, Canada. The Aluminum Development
Laboratories UK & ALCAN South Africa, Zurich and Switzerland. Since then ALIND has
produced, more than a million kilometers of AAC, ACSR and AAAC conductors building
lifetime of power in India and abroad, and hence ALIND could rightly call itself THE
POWER MOVERS
As the years rolled by, ALIND diversified its activities by uniting various streams of power
transmission technology and emerged as a multi-divisional composite corporate entity. ALIND
has kept abreast of the latest technology by collaborating with the world leaders in their chosen
fields.
Presently ALIND with its corporate office in Thiruvanthapuram has 7 manufacturing units
located in the 3 states of Kerala , AndraPradesh and Orissa manufacturing cables, conductors,
steel wires, wire working machinery, High voltage switch gears and static relays. Exports
division, consultancy and engineering service division and Electrical contracts division in
Thiruvanthapuram, Material handling Division in Hyderabad and Regional office in New Delhi,
Mumbai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Secundarabad, Chennai and Kochi
