What'syourviewinfreedomofexpressionandshoulditbelimitedinsomecasesinthe
UnitedStates?Thistopiconfreedomofexpressionhasbeenahotbuttontopicfordecadesandit
isaquestionthatmanypeopleinthepoliticalworldandeverydaypeopledonthaveananswer
toit.Thishasbeenadebatebecausethe1stAmendmentoftheUnitedStatesConstitutionstates
thatpeopleoftheUnitedStateshastherighttofreespeech,freeoffollowinganyformof
religion,andtherighttoassemble.ThisAmendmenthasallowedinterestgroupslikethe
AmericanNaziPartyandtheKuKluxKlanbeprotectedunderthe1stAmendment,despiteof
havingcertainbeliefsthatareharshandmanypeoplenowadaysdontagreewithanymore.
Thesegroupsbasicallypromoteracistviewstowardminoritiesgroupsandareconsideredtodo
illegalactivityinordertokeepwhitesupremacy.Thisiswhenpeoplequestiontheuseof1st
Amendmentandquestionthepoweritgivestothesesuchidealswithinainterestgroup.
PersonallyItakeastancethatfreedomofspeechbelimitedbecausemanyviewsseemoldand
dontreflectonthemodernviews,anotherreasonisbecauseit'sseemsthatpeoplewithunfair
viewshaveultimatepoliticalpowerandeconomicpowerandmakeothermorereasonableor
agreeableviewstohavelesssay,andfinallypeopledonttakeaccountofvictimscausedby
unreasonableviews.

Thereismanyunfairlyviewsoutintheworldthatdontreflectonthemodernviewand
seemsveryoldandunfair.AccordingtoCNNScottEugene,DonaldTrumpsaidhisMuslim
friendsare"sohappy"heisdiscussingtheissueofIslamicfundamentalismbuttheydonot
supporthisproposaltobanMuslimimmigrationtotheU.S.,heacknowledged.Thisisan
exampleofDonaldTrumpwhoisrunningforPresidentoftheUnitedStatesviewsonMuslims
andtheideaofbanningthepracticeintheUnitedStates.Thisisaveryconversationaltopic
becausethereisbetween5to12millionsofMuslimsintheUnitedStatesandover1billioninthe
worldwide.IfhisplandidgointoactionbywinningtheU.Spresidentelectionthanhewouldbe
violatingthe1stAmendmentwhichclearlystatesthatthereisanylawthatprohibitsacertain
religion.Overall,Thrumpsviewsseemsunrealtohappenanditisnotgoingtobeabletopass
hereintheUnitedStatesanddoesnotreflectonthepublicopinionviewsandseemsoutrageous.

ThisisanexamplethatshowcaseswhattypeofpowerthatTrumphasunderhisbeltdespite
sayingcontroversialidealslikecallingMexicansrapistandhismindsetofstripingU.S
citizenshipofcitizenswhoparentdonthavepapershestillmakesmoney.Thistrulymakesme
feellikethiscountryistakingastepbackwardsintermsofendingracism,andIcannotbelieve
peopleinthiscountryallowforthistypeofmanrunandpossiblewintheelectionwithsupport
bytheAmericanpeople..Sinceheisrunningforpresidenthehasgainmuchpoliticalrecognition
andisknowntohavemanypeoplethatsupporthimwithhisviewsandhehasgaintheupper
handinthepresidentelectionandismajorityfavoritetowin,despitewhatAmericancitizens
haveonhim.AccordingtoParis,France2015SourceBstates,AmidprotestsagainstCharlie
Hebdoinmajorcitiesacrossthecountry,PakistancondemnedonTuesdaythepublicationofa
sacrilegiouscartoonontheFrenchsatiricalmagazinessurvivorissue.Echoingthesentiments
ofthepeopleofPakistan,thepresidentandtheprimeministerhavestronglycondemnedthe
publication,whichhascausedgreatoffencetoMuslimsbyhurtingtheirsentimentsandreligious

Finally,thevictimsoftheseunfairideasarenttakenintocountintheirviewsabout
freedomofspeech.AccordingtoTheDallasMorningNewsstates,Vincentspenaltieswerethe
resultofsixtweets,includingonesslammingIslam,usingaderogatorytermforMexicansand
sayinghoodratcriminalsinBaltimoreshouldbeshippedtotheSaharaDesert.Vincent,whois
unsureifhellreturntoTCU,saidhewasntreferringtoraceinthosetweets,someofwhich
weremadeaboutprotestsandriotsoverthedeathofFreddieGray,ablackmanwhodiedin
policecustodyinBaltimore.Itwasmoreaboutpoliticalstatementsthananythingelse,anditgot
twistedintorace,saidhisfather,ScottVincent.Inthissituationtheoffenderwasreferringto
manyminoritiesashoodratsormakingfunontheriotsofFreddieGray.AlthoughTexas
ChristianUniversitytookactionitwasnotenoughtodealwiththevictimsandbandageupthe
hurtfulviewsofMexicansandAfricanAmericans.Theschoolhastodomoreinthispunishment
soitcantbetoleratedinaneducationalenvironment.AccordingtoSkokie,IllinoissourceA
readingStates,Sincewhenisthekillingofsixmillionpeopletobeconsideredfreespeech?

couldseewhymanypeoplewholiveinSkokieIllinoisdontwantthismarchtohappenandits
understandable.

Iunderstandthatthereisanopposingviewonfreespeechanditshouldntbelimited.
AccordingtoUSATodayArticleofChicagoproteststates,CHICAGOAngryprotestershit
thestreetsandtauntedpoliceforasecondnightWednesdayfollowingthereleaseofadramatic
videoshowingawhiteChicagopoliceofficerfatallyshootingablackteenagerinahailof16
bullets.Themoodinsomeneighborhoodswastense.AninternalChicagoPoliceDepartment
safetyalertdistributedtopoliceofficerswarnedthatgangmembersmaybelookingtocarryout
anambushagainstcopsinretaliationfortheLaquanMcDonaldkilling.Thisisaprimeexample
howfreespeechcouldrestrainandnotgivetherightforU.Scitizensnothavetherighttoprotest
unlawfulactsfromauthoritiesandlosetherightontheir1stAmendment.

PersonallyItakeastancethatfreedomofshouldbelimitedbecausemanyviewsseem
oldanddonotreflectonthemodernviews,anotherreasonisbecauseit'sseemsthatpeoplewith
unfairviewshaveultimatepoliticalpowerandeconomicpowerandmakeothermorereasonable
oragreeableviewstohavelesssay,andfinallypeopledonttakeaccountofvictimscausedby
unreasonableviews.Theviewsoffreedomofspeechisstillhardtodescribeandisntableto
haveaquickanswertoandisstillinfluenceusandtheopinionofitcanchange.
