Course Objective:
Students will rely on their perceptions of the environment, developed by their visual knowledge of their
surroundings, memory, imagination, and life experiences. Students will be expected to express their thoughts and
ideas creatively. The study of many artists and historical periods will help students develop respect for the traditions
and contributions of diverse cultures. Students will also be able to use many art media and apply different
techniques by creating their own artworks.
Textbook: As assigned by teacher.

Unfinished work may be issued as homework.

Test Schedule:

Vocabulary and Art History exams will be administered every Semester. Art projects will be
evaluated when completed.

Students will be allowed to make-up assignments and exams with an excused re-entry as per
district policy.

1 Ream White Copy Paper, 500 count, Stays in Class
Sheet Protectors, 50 count, Stays in Binder
1 inch Binder to keep Art Work in. Must have plastic front pocket.
Binder will be GRADED, and a check list made for Pencils,
Colored Pencils, Ream of white copy paper, Sheet Protectors,
and Binder.
