REFERENCE LETTER

Regarding Rezwana Farah

Dear whom it may concern,
It is a great pleasure that I am writing a letter of support for Rezwana Farah. My name is Seung
Hwan (Mark) Lee, and I am currently an Associate Professor at the Ted Rogers School of Retail
Management at Ryerson University. I have had the pleasure of knowing Rezwana for the past year, and I
believe her to be a person who is hard-working and someone who is dedicated to improving her skills
beyond what is expected of her. Rezwana has taken two courses with me (Multi-Channel Retailing &
Applied Retail Research) during the 2015-2016 academic year. From these courses, Rezwana has shown
great enthusiasm, has been punctual, and has been a dedicated member of the class. She has
demonstrated that she is able to succeed in a challenging environment and I have great confidence that
she has the capacity to make a positive impact wherever she goes. For these reasons, I feel that she may
be a good fit with your organization.
In her previous work experiences, Rezwana has complimented her academics with several
professional experiences. For example, she has been active in the university environment by serving as
the Vice President for the Bangldeshi Students Association at Ryerson. She has also held positions at
Costco and LMG Global as manager in training positions. She has also worked at Hudson Bay and at
Target in customer service roles. Together, these experiences have shaped who she is today a mature,
personable individual who can make an impact to your team. As part of my course requirement, Rezwana
and her teammates were required to complete various assignments which included analyzing/writing case
issues, analyzing service failures, creating infomercials, generating mobile app ideas, developing offlineonline synergies for multi-channel operations, conducting observational/experimental research, and
performing statistical analyses. I am also proud to say that Rezwana's group performed well in these
assignments. This is a reflection of Rezwanas willingness to contribute as an active team member.
Moreover, the assignments that I typically assign require students to operate in a time-pressured
environment. Despite these obstacles, Rezwana consistently showed poise and her organizational skills in
the process. As such, I recommend that you take the time to get to know her.
Overall, I feel that Rezwana has a lot to offer and will benefit greatly from joining your organization.
Her depth of experience, as well as, her mature demeanor will certainly be a positive influence to those
around her. I believe she has in-depth knowledge not only from her academics, but also from her
professional experiences. Thus, it is my hope that you take the chance to meet with Rezwana to find out
more about her. If you have any questions regarding Rezwana, feel free to reach me at 416-669-1765 or
lee.mark@ryerson.ca. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Dr. Seung Hwan (Mark) Lee, B. A&Sc, MBA, Ph.D.
