National Hand Washing Day Celebration
National hand washing day represent global efforts to raise
awareness about the importance of hand washing with soap as an effective
and affordable way to prevent diseases and illnesses.
Sicsican Matanda Elementary School participates in the
celebration of the National Hand washing day which is celebrated every 5 th
day of October. Different activities were conducted like lecture discussion on
how to hand wash properly and the actual hand washing of the learner.
Learners from kinder to grade VI actively participated in the
said activity. Since 2008, Sicsican matanda Elementary school actively
promoting hand washing among the students. The school believes that
children acts as agent of change, taking good practices of hygiene learned at
school back into their homes and communities. The active participation of
the school and involvement of the learners will surely promote the
community of hand washers.
Indeed, the said activity was very successful because all the
learners learned and enjoyed the hand washing day.
