Teaching Experience

Second grade teacher of 32 students in a Title 1 school. Collaborated with another 2nd grade teacher to create small
group teaching time where groups were based on levels instead of class placement. Developed rigorous units of
study that focused on core standards with real world implications where content was differentiated for various
different levels as well as for ESL/ELL students. Maintained excellent family communication and assisted in numerous
programs encouraging parent involvement in the school. Developed differentiated student centers utilizing crosscurriculum content to create guided reading time center rotations where students were actively engaged in
meaningful tasks.
