Selecting Articles

3 Resources
100-200 word summary each
We havent read much in our Mind, Body, Spirit textbook; these articles all
deal with topics/controversies that revolve around those three issues. For this
project, you will need to familiarize yourself with some of these topics. Look
at titles in the table of contents, look at the pillars on the MSU website, etc.
You want to get an idea of some of the kinds of topics discussed.
Second, you will locate three resources that are available to you either at
MSU or in Springfield, MO that will help your Mind, Body, or Spirit while you
attend college. Think creatively and critically. These can be anything from
the Buddhist temple in Springfield to the counseling services or to the
community outreach services.
Next, you will need to then write a summary of each resource (100-200
words) and a rationale of why they could be included in the Mind, Body, Spirit
book. Most of these resources have web pages with information; it is your job
to give us a brief (but complete) summary of this information. Make sure to
contextualize the topic by stating why it is important and how it ties into
MBS.
Finally, we will be workshopping this project and after you edit and revise
your project, you will be presenting at least one of these resources to the
class. Make sure to find good resources for your peers!
