1.0 INTRODUCTION.

Tacheometric survey or Tacheometry is a branch of surveying whereby the heights and


the distances between the ground marks are obtained by the optical measurement
without using a chain or tape. Tacheometric surveys are usually to produce a contour
and detail plain for the large surface, or to produce the coordinates for area and volume
calculations.

1.1 OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of tachoemetry are performed to measure the three
dimensional location of points on the landscape. Besides, tacheometry also to
produce a contour and details plans for further works, or to produce the
coordinates, reduce level and distances which horizontal and vertical for area and
volume calculations.
