    empathytowardsitbutdonothingaboutit.Itsthattypeofmentalitywhereyoumaythink,Well,its
    suchadistantthing,orItdoesntreallyaffectme,soitdoesntmatter.But
    therefugeecrisisshouldbe
    addressedbecauseitisaworldwidecrisis.Overtheyearsthenumberofpeopleforcedtofleetheirhomes
    hastrulyescalated.
    Anestimated9millionSyrianshavefledtheirhomessinceMarch2011.
    Refugees
    shouldhavetherighttosafety.Refugeesarehumanstooandtreatingthemanylessthanthatisof

    violenceandthreats.Beingdismissivethefactofstrugglingpeopleisinhumane.

    peopledeadandhundredswounded.Frenchofficialshaveidentifiedmostoftheattackerstobefrom
    IslamicState(IS)group.
    EvenafterattacksPresidentHollandewantstostillaccept30,000Syrian
    refugeesoverthenexttwoyears.A50millioneuroinvestmentfundisplannedtobeusedtosupport
    housingforthoserefugees.Theyhaveindicatedthatresettlingrefugeeswouldundergorigoroussecurity
    checks.

    TherehasbeenabigdiscriminationonthemuslimpopulationinFrance.Thereisatotal
    4.7million
    MuslimsinFrance.

    recentlyreportedyoungboysbeingsexuallyabusedinthecamp.TheUNHCRisconcernedaboutthe
    conditionsofthecampandunaccompaniedminorsandplanonbetteringthecamps.

    Francewasafoundingmemberwhenitwasestablishedin1945.UNHRCwantstoassistandsupport
    governmentstobuildandmaintainfairandefficientasylumandprotectionsystems.TheUNHCRis
    concernedabouttheconditionsofthecampandunaccompaniedminorsandplanonbetteringthecamps.
    UNHCRalsowantstohelpsupportmoreresettlingplacesandbettertheintegrationcapacityinresettling
    countries.

    Franceoffersaverycaringandthoughtfulopinionforthosewhoaretrulyfleeingtobeinabetterplace.
    Itisalsoreallyeasyforsomepeopletotakeadvantageandcauseharmtocitizens.Itisntverylikelybut
    itshappenedbefore.Reinforcingtheirbordersandsecuritychecksareneededforcivilianssafety.France
    haschosentohelprefugeesandacceptthemintotheircountry,eventhoughthereisaworldwideconcern
    thatrefugeesmightposeathreattothecountry.PresidentHollandepromisedtohonorhiscommitmentto
    takeintensofthousandsofrefugees.HollandebelievesthatItisahumanitariandutytohelprefugees
    whohavelandedonEuropeansoilafterfleeingconflictandhardshipincountrieslikeSyriaand
    Afghanistan.
