Contract for Graduate/Undergraduate Student Scholarship

This contract is initiated in agreement with Naresuan Universitys announcement with
reference to the regulations and rules of revenue allocation for graduate/undergraduate students of
Naresuan University by (Name), (Position), who is
authorized on behalf of Naresuan University according to the University regulation as Granter for

Mobile who is granted this Graduate/Undergraduate Student Scholarship in

at Naresuan University in the academic year .. and who is, hereafter, referred to as grantee.
Both Granter and Grantee agree to collaborate as follows:
1. The scholarship is for a graduate/undergraduate student in (curriculum)
at the from the academic year . The
grantee agrees to accept the scholarship and follow the conditions and regulations of the
university.
2. While under this scholarship or when the scholarship is terminated, if the grantee cannot
finish his/her degree within the allotted time, the grantee agrees to be under the
authority of the financier and (name of advisor) .. until
graduating by strictly following the conditions, regulations, and rules of the
. and the University regarding the existing educational,
behavioral, and expenditure regulations for the grantee from the date when the
agreement is signed and including any future contracts to be signed. It is agreed that the
said conditions, regulations, and rules are part of this agreement.
3. The grantee must report his/her study and/or thesis/dissertation progress to the Foreign
Student Office (FSO) at the end of each semester.
4. The grantee (at postgraduate level) must explicitly identify the granted scholarship from
the ., Naresuan University, in the published study and thesis
presenting the grantees work.
5. The grantee (at postgraduate level) needs to have his/her study internationally published
in a journal which is in the database of ISI or the SCOPUS Journal List and must publish at
least one study for master level and not less than two studies for the doctoral level study.

6. The grantee (at postgraduate level) must act as a teaching assistant (TA) or research
assistant (RA) in a way specified by the thesis advisor/assigned advisor.
7. It is compulsory that the grantee (at undergraduate level) contributes to as many
Faculty/University activities as possible as directed by the Foreign Student Office (FSO).
8. Throughout the study program, the grantee (at undergraduate level) must get a Grade
Point Average (GPA) of not less than 2.00 in the first semester; 2.25 Cumulative Grade
Point Average in the second semester; 2.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average in the
fourth semester and henceforth. The grantee (at postgraduate level) must maintain a
Cumulative Grade Point Average at the end of each academic year of 3.25. For researchbased students, the academic advisor will submit an evaluation at the end of each
semester. Failing to meet with this requirement will result in a termination of the
scholarship.
9. The grantee must pay attention to his/her study by following the guidance of (name of
advisor) ... The grantee is required to complete the course of
study without any willful abandonment of the scholarship. Early termination of this
agreement can be made by written notice from the grantee with approval of (name of
advisor) ...
10. If the grantee receives another scholarship, research fund, or other kind of funding, the
granter reserves the right to adjust the scholarship in accordance with the terms and
conditions of this scholarship agreement.
11. Every international student is required to attend a 30 hour Thai course prior to the
commencement of the first semester. For an undergraduate student who chooses to
study in a program taught in Thai, he/she must take 5 Thai courses in the first year and
acquire at least a C in each course before being approved to study the selected degree
program in the subsequent year.
12. If the grantee is unable to follow the conditions specified in this agreement, the granter
reserves the right to terminate the scholarship in accordance with the terms and
conditions of this scholarship agreement.
13. The grantee must be a full-time student based strictly on a study plan and maintain
his/her student status.
14. The grantee understands that the scholarship coverage, which includes: 1) a round trip
international airfare ticket (economy class); for those physically in Thailand, he/she
receives only a return ticket, 2) tuition fee waiver throughout the length of the study, 3)
international student fee waiver throughout the length of the study, 4) on-campus
accommodation (excluding incurred electricity cost), 5) health insurance, 6) 6,000.-Bht
monthly allowance, 7)Thai Non-ED visa application and its renewal throughout the length
of the study, 8) 4,000.-Bht for study material per academic year, and 9) a one-time
thesis/dissertation proposal fee and a one-time thesis/dissertation defense fee, is nonnegotiable.

15. The grantee understands that the monthly allowance is dispersed based strictly on the
length of the program and will cease after the completion of the program of study.
This agreement is made in two (2) copies of equal value. The parties have read and
reviewed the agreement and hereby sign it as an affidavit. Each party retains one copy of this
document.
