Goals:
Students will gain more information on what sociology is and how it pertains to
the Ancient Greece society.
Students will understand how the Greeks interacted with one another.
Objectives:

Students will be able to identify the different societies of Ancient Greece.
Students will be able to summarize what aspects of sociology are found in the
Ancient Greece society.
Students will be able to explain the aspects of sociology.
Process/Skills:
Students will be able to illustrate how sociology aspects are found in Ancient
Greek society.
Students will be able to explain how the Greek society affects todays society
and sociology aspects of the world.
Values/Dispositions:
Students will be able to describe the different societies of Ancient Greece.
Students will be able to defend how the study of sociology is found in Ancient
Greek society.

Rationale:
In this lesson, the students will learn about the study of sociology and how it pertains
to Ancient Greek societies. They will learn about these societies and then make
connections of how one can study these societies through sociology.

Spartan and the Athenian societies.
After this, students will split into

choose one society and create a

brochure, they will mention how the
societies were set up politically,

society. After they write these down, the class will discuss
these ideals. The students will then create a mind map

interacted with others.
