WE WELCOME Bishop Peter who will be with us on Tuesday, 21st June for the Sacrament of
Confirmation. Please keep Bishop Peter and our Confirmation candidates in your prayers.
PARISH FINANCES Weekend 11th 12th June : Loose 766.89., Envelopes 346.50, Standing
Orders 446, Total 1,559.39. The retiring collection for the CAFOD Ethiopia appeal amounted
to 538.12. Many thanks for your generosity. Next weekend there will be a retiring collection for
Peters Pence.
DAY FOR LIFE This weekend there will be a retiring collection for Day for Life the day in the
Churchs year dedicated to celebrating the dignity of life this year Day for Life focuses on the
wonder of the gift of human life and the gift of our common home which is Gods creation. It
provides an opportunity for people to think about the connections and relationships between
people and the earth which we inhabit. There are cards available in the Church porches.

WE WELCOME the children from Year 3 who are joining us at the 9.30am Mass on Tuesday.
HCPT GROUP Kay Gatt will give a talk about the HCPT Group 117 Pilgrimage to Lourdes this
weekend. They are holding a dance on 9th July at Slough Irish Club, in aid of the Childrens
Easter Pilgrimage 2017. Tickets will be on sale priced 5 Please try and support the vital work
the group do to enable children with special needs to travel to Lourdes

CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE The Catholic Women's League would like to thank
parishioners for all their donations to the CWL stall at the Donkey Derby. The total raised for
charity from sales and donations was 200 - a fantastic result.
RED BOXES First half-yearly collection of APF/MH red boxes will take place during this
month. New boxes for the second half of the year are being prepared. Kindly bring your full box
to Mass, where possible, ensuring it is left in safe hands, and collect the replacement. Thank
you.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BURNHAM LIGHTHOUSE! Lighthouse Burnham will run from
25 - 29th July and they are desperately short of helpers, not just to cope with hundreds of
children already signed up, but with the ones that will register between now and July, and in
particular for adults aged 16+. If you would like to volunteer as a helper please visit the link at

ST BERNARDS PREPARATORY SCHOOL, SLOUGH Caretaker required as soon as possible,
for this thriving Independent Prep School. St Bernards Preparatory School is seeking a proactive and reliable Caretaker who is self-motivated and works well within a school environment.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their role and will maintain high standards for the
school covering areas such as health and safety, security and cleanliness. Essential skills will
include good DIY skills, gardening and general maintenance to approve the appearance of the

Youth Day.
CATHOLIC MIRACLE RALLY with Cor et Lumen Christi Community on Saturday 2nd Sunday
3rd July at Friends Meeting House, Euston Road, London, NW1 2BJ. The open Miracle Healing
Service will be at 6.00pm on Saturday 2nd July. Please see flyers at the Church entrance.
WORLD YOUTH DAY (WYD) Quiz night has been postponed, new date to be decided.
CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE The next meeting of the Catholic Women's League will be their
annual fish and chip supper to be held at 6.30pm on Monday, 4th July at St Andrew's. Please join
us for the evening if you wish - you do not need to be a member. We will take orders at 6.30pm..
If the weather is warm and dry we will meet in the garden.
NATIONAL BOARD OF CATHOLIC WOMEN Year of Mercy. Inspiration, reflection and
discussion for Catholic Women. Gods Steadfast Love in all the messiness of our lives. Led by
Kate Stogdon, Cenacle Sister, Retreat-Giver, Spiritual Director Teacher of Courses in Spirituality
and Theology. On Saturday, 9th July, at St Teresas, Warwick Road, Beaconsfield, HP9 2PL,
from 10.30am3.00pm. Please bring a packed lunch. Organised by the Diocesan Branch of the

BBQ on 30th July from 4.00pm to 10.00pm at ST ANDREW'S SHARED CHURCH. ALL ARE
VERY WELCOME - THE MORE THE MERRIER AND THE MORE MONEY WE WILL RAISE.
The proceeds of this event will be shared equally between Our Lady of Peace and St Andrew's.
Tickets will be 10, children over 12 5, under 12 free. These will be on sale at all Masses. The
ticket price will include the following: BBQ and music from our resident DJ Stephen Barker.
There will be Irish Bingo with a cash prize, a Licensed bar, and
a raffle - if you would like to donate a prize for the raffle please leave in the Presbytery or the
Sacristy for Yvonne, or give donations to Danny, Brendan or Fr Andy at St Andrews.
