CHILDRENS MINISTRY

GA Camp @ Worldsong
I dont know who first said this, but I have never forgotten
it. You can give without loving, but you cannot love
without giving. That applies to God, church, your spouse
and family. Sometimes love is measured in time, energy,
attention or dollars.
RA Camp @ Worldsong
I work out of an office that I did not pay for. I park my car
on a lot someone else bought. Generous believers years
ago tithed, and I now enjoy the results. We are doing the
same for the next generation that follows. We all sit in the
spiritual shade of trees we did not plant.
The gifts the Magi gave to baby Jesus seem so impractical
to me. What baby wants frankincense? He needs a Jewish
action figure of David with a slingshot. But stop and think
about it. How would a poor, minimum wage carpenter,
who is a newly wed, and just paid a tax bill, afford a trip
to Egypt and live there for several years? The Wise Mens
gifts were just what Mary and Joseph needed to help them
escape the genocide that came.
A military couple was stationed in Montgomery in 1999,
when we started the worship center. They had saved
money for a house for years. They prayed and God led
them to give their down payment to Eastmont. They
moved away before the sanctuary was completed. They
told me Gods house is more important than our own.
Some people have it backwards. They have invited Jesus to
follow them around and bless them. But so many of you
have it right. You follow Him, not Jesus following you. This
is shown in many ways. You can give without loving but
you cant love without giving. You are not just a fan you
are a follower that gives.
Jesus said Where your treasure is, there your heart will
be also. It is obvious to me where Eastmonts heart is. You
have given so people, some not yet born, might be saved in
this place.
