On An Inconvenient Truth

What gets us into trouble is not what we dont know; its what we know for sure that just
aint so. I remember this aphorism over a year ago or two then I would relate this to a love-life
or anything, but this is used in the film which also makes me realized that it is appropriate to an
environmental issue.
This is a reaction on the documentary An Inconvenient Truth. This paper will not talk
much on its cinematography or the way it is filmed (I assume it sufficed the way I expected it to
be), but will retort on the inside of the film, I mean its story.
The film holds a plentiful amount of captivating information. An awareness documentary,
the An Inconvenient Truth is detailing about Global Warming, the worlds climate crisis. The film
is an assortment of presentations from across the world made by the former United States Vice
President and an environmentalist Albert Gore.
So much for that, Gore made the presentation very attractive. He portrayed with
impressive graphs showing a striking reality that the amount of carbon dioxide (CO 2) in the
atmosphere is heavy which makes the temperature very warm and gives a very cold weather at
other times. In short, Gore was right by saying that the ecosystem is not balanced.
Personally, I could not deny the fact that the place where we all live in is greatly
devastating and is suffering from all our abusive minds. That is why I am amused by the way
Gore opened the documentary that this crisis is not after all a political issue but a moral one.
Because each of us causes global warming, we can also have the choice to solve this problem.
According to him, [Our] moral imperative to make big changes is inescapable. The An
Inconvenient Truth is a practical film that opines the general problem we all face but offers
solutions which are as well feasible. After all, the film is deeply sensical and is philosophical.
Gore suggests an idea which is realistic to man. To note, the environmentalist said, Our way of
thinking is the third and final factor that transforms our relationship to the Earth

Moreover, Gore suggests that this could be solved through our political will albeit this is
not a political issue. I would like to emphasize once more that each of us is a cause to global
warming but we can also have the choice to solve this problem. We just need to have
determination in helping solve the severe predicament that is going on. I believe in him also
saying that we have the capacity to do great changes though it is difficult.
After all, what is inconvenient with the An Inconvenient Truth? I think the answer lies in
a saying quoted from the film by Sir Winston Churchill, The era of procrastination, of halfmeasures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to its close. In its place we
are entering a period of consequences. In short, the inconvenient truth is the way we suffer with
our actions, abusive actions really. But there is an answer to that, humanity already possesses
the fundamental scientific, technical, and industrial know-how to solve the carbon and climate
problems, as Stephen Pacala and Robert Socolow from the film said. Lastly, although the
solution is not abrupt, at least it is still a solution.
