Objective
To secure a summer internship in a dynamic cooperative environment that utilizes my work experience and
educational course work in robotics to assist in R&D product development, customer/user experience and data
analytics.
Education
University of Santa Cruz, California
Jack Baskin School of Engineering Robotics Engineering

Freshman - Fall 2016

Experience
Redwood High School Engineering Project
Spring 2016
Chocolate 3D Printer
Designed and constructed a chocolate 3D-printer for a Senior Project course.
3D Systems produces a chocolate printer costing $10,000. My printer, which is similar in function, will
cost approximately $500!
3D Systems, San Francisco, CA & Boston, MA
2016
Beta Tester
Commissioned by 3D Systems to Beta test their next generation 3D printers for speed, durability, and
consistency.
Tested three different 3D printers and currently house two of them while the other one is at MIT.
Wrote extensive reports with my initial concerns and comments, and how each printer could be improved to
be more market ready.
MIT Media Lab, Boston, MA
Summer 2015
Summer Internship Bio and Glass 3D printer - Mechanical Engineer Researcher
Worked on a biological 3D printer that could eventually produce replacements for vital organs by printing
an artificial liver, kidney, heart, etc.
Established a way to 3D print biological materials that could serve as scaffolding for cell cultures, which
would form the foundation for complex biological systems.
Ultimately the printer would extrude scaffolding as well as precisely placed nests of cells via robust
extruder heads capable of holding an array of syringes for extruding biological material.
Created a large variety of CAD models for Next generation of glass 3D printers for MIT.
MIT Media Lab, Boston, MA
Summer 2014
Summer Internship Micro scale 3D printer - Mechanical Engineer Researcher
Created a custom extruder head for purposes of large-scale 3D printing designed to 3D print a specific
type of structural foam for constructing houses and other large structures.
Developed a combination of isopropanol and resin that when extruded, would expand 40 times its original
size.
Helped design an interchangeable pneumatic clamp, enabling the production of multi material extruder
heads for the function of large scale 3D printing.
Skills
Excellent time management, written, oral presentation and organizational skills
Proficient machine shop skills lathe, milling machine, laser cutter, water jet and fabricating prototypes
Programming language: Arduino and Processing, Solid Works, Sketch Up
