Learners will be required to complete the different activities about
structures. Scenario Two villages which have been separated by a river of which the are secondary schools on the other side, while the is a primary school and supper market on the other side. Learners have to answer the following questions (1) Identify a problem from the above scenario. a. indicate the problem. b. who are affected. c. how are they affected. (2) Give a solution to the problem. (3) Determine the time frame and environment impact. (4) Make a free hand drawing, design a structure which can be used as a solution to the problem identified. a. draw arrows to show how the weight of the road and the traffic on it is distributed. b. the drawings should have initial idea 1, 2 and chosen idea of which each one match the specification which shall have been listed in the solution of the problem. (5) Indicate the type of the load that will be carried by the structure. (6) Calculate the total cost of material.
