Re: Auburn Police Investigating Rash of Burglaries on the City’s North Side

Over the past week, three Auburn businesses located on the city’s north side have been
victims of forced entry burglaries. On June 19th, 2010 the Auburn Police Department
responded to a burglary complaint at 69 Wall St., “Mr. Pizza”. The suspect(s) forced
open a rear door to the business and once inside an undisclosed amount of paper and
rolled coin currency was stolen from the business.

On Friday morning June 25, 2010 and employee reporting to work at “The Printery”
found the rear door to this business forced open. Once the suspect gained entry the
business was ransacked and at the time of this release an inventory of any missing
property is currently being conducted by store employees. It is however believed that no
money was taken from inside.

On this same date a neighboring business to “The Printery” was also burglarized.
“Harley’s Pub” also had its rear door forced open and the business ransacked. Once
inside the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of paper and rolled coin currency.
“Harley’s Pub” did however have its surveillance system recording and it was able to
capture the suspect inside the bar committing the burglary.

Attached to this media release are numerous still photographs from the “Harley’s Pub”
surveillance video. The suspect is described as being a black male, between 5’10”-6’02”
tall, clean shaven head, muscular build, wearing no shirt and baggy loose fitting shorts.
The Auburn Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with information
