The stars twinkle around us

In our peaceful heaven
Perfect bliss
That lasts forever, but not long enough
We dance and we laugh as the light spins around us
Our halo
We’re angels
And even though there’s no above or below
We’re not of this world
Too beautiful to worry about what the others say
They’re not perfect like us
With emotions so pitifully mortal
They know nothing of happiness
This pure love that we share
We can’t hurt
Can’t cry
We understand everything, but are saintly
We never tire, never stop dancing
Such a mystery to them
They don’t know why they can’t understand us
But we don’t need them to
We don’t need them
Everything we could ever want is
In each others’ arms
If everyone could be angels
Could love unconditionally
Could forget about the darkness
There’d be no more pain
