IICRC release
9/1/2010 4:23:57 PM IICRC Accepting Resumes and Proposals for Standards Development and Administration Position Seeking full-time employee or full-time contractor VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is now accepting resumes for the standards and development administration position. As the organization continues to grow, the Executive Committee and Board of Directors have elected to make this position a full-time job. Applications will be accepted for a full-time employee or a fulltime contractor from interested persons or firms. The standards and development administrator will play a crucial role representing the IICRC, as it continues, with participation from the entire industry, to set standards for inspection, cleaning and restoration. Job responsibilities include: further developing and administering Standards Development Organization (SDO) activities, serving as a liaison to strategically significant IICRC technical committees, advancing IICRC objectives with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), serving as standards liaison to identified industries and or government agencies and providing organizational support to the technical committees in the development of standards. Interested parties may visit the IICRC website for more information about the job opening and how to apply. Individuals interested in applying need to submit a resume, cover letter with salary requirements and preference for employee or independent contractor, and a writing sample relating to standards work. Companies should submit additional information, which can be found in the job description. Applications are due October 4, 2010 by 5 p.m. Central time and should be submitted to Patrick Winters, President, at president@iicrc.org. About the IICRC The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is an ANSI-accredited standards setting body for the flooring inspection, floor covering and specialized fabric cleaning and disaster restoration industries. Organized in 1972, the IICRC currently represents more than 5,700 Certified Firms and 54,000 Certified Technicians in 22 countries. The IICRC, with participation from the entire industry, sets standards for inspection, cleaning and disaster restoration. IICRC does not own schools, employ instructors, produce training materials, or promote specific product brands, cleaning methods or systems. It approves schools and instructors that meet the criteria established by the IICRC. IICRC also serves as a consumer referral source for Certified Firms and Inspectors.
