A Soul that Aspires

It is very astonishing to know that many of us have no definite aim or ambition,

existing from one day to another with no well-defined life plan.
We see all of us in the ocean of life. Young man and woman aimlessly drifting wi
thout rudder or port -throwing away time without serious purpose or method in an
ything that they do. They simply drift with the tide waiting for a chance to tak
e up something.
In the game of life, success or failure is up to us. Every man has a good deck o
f cards. All he has to do is to learn how to play it. A huge percentage of us ha
ve an ambition, education and health but they still fail and live in mediocrity
for they do not put themselves in an attitude of condition for successful achiev
ement.
Take heed of an aimless life. Take heed, too, of a sordid aim. God has not creat
ed us with aspirations and longings for heights to which we cannot climb. Live u
pward. The unattained still beckons us towards the summit of life s mountains, int
o the atmosphere where great souls live and breathe. One should set his aim so h
igh that it will require patient years of toil to reach it. Our daily, or should
I say, hourly motto must be to aim higher.
