Creating a Works Cited Page

MLA Format

As you find your sources in the library databases, locate the provided citations. (See the powerpoint
slideshow on the libguide for where to find citation information.)

If you are not using a library database, you will need to cite the source using bibme.org
(http://www.bibme.org).

Put all your citations into one sheet in Word.

Once you have copied all citations into a Word document, begin formatting your Works Cited Page.

 Title of Page: Works Cited (12 point font, no funny Word Art)

 Alphabetize all citations by the author’s last name. If no author, use the title of the work.

 Indent every line except the first line (see example below).

Example:
Fallows, James. "Success Without Victory. " The Atlantic Monthly

1 Jan. 2005: Platinum Periodicals, ProQuest. Web. 13 Sep. 2010.

Notice the indent.
 12 point font throughout the entire works cited page.
