feedbacks and skills (Please describe in 100 words)

 I have been involved in planning, organizing and getting sponsorship for the
college events like Technical Festival and Cultural Festival.

 I have been a core member of the placement committee in our college.

2. Role Played (Please describe in 100 words. Kindly ensure that you clearly mention
the domain that you have worked on):

 I have worked on Embedded Systems, my work involved working on porting and


optimizing of audio-video Codecs on TI and ARM Processor and Linux device driver
development.

 I was into development of software code .

 I was a mentor to my juniors fecilitating them in their trainings.

3. Why do you want to join the committee? Do you have any suggestions to improve
the process? (100 words)

 I want to contribute my skills of creativity and innovation to the college in


helping it for better placements and thereby also learing and improving various
other skills during the whole process.
 As of now I am not aware of the placement process followed in GLIM, so I am
describing briefly a way to enhance our placement can be:

1. Preparing a database of the backgrounds of the students and their future


interests, also of the alumni (the current profile and the company they are
at present), this would give a more clear idea to current batch as to where
they would like to go.

2. Based on the students interests, we will prepare a database of various


national & international companies and dividing them into various different
sectors and the various profiles that these companies would offer.

3. We would reach to these companies and also try that various assignment
done by students also reaches to them. Also we can try that some of
students ,if possible can do an internship in some such related firms for a
week or so, which would give them an advantage.

4. We should also try to tap into more sectors such as mass media,
semiconductors, automation, aviation,chemical and mechanical companies
as well, as we have many students having experience in these fields as well.

5. Also we can take advantage of the recession and allure various companies
to come to our college, which earlier would only go to big brands like IIMs,
by making our students talent, work and experience reach them.

4. How do you think you can add value to the committee? (100 words)

1. I have the ability to research and tap into new areas beyond IT and FMCG,
and will try to bring companies from diverse backgrounds for placements.

2. Ability to collect data and contacts of key persons in various companies


which are not very well know, but do offer very good profiles.

3. I will try to know the interests of the students and also the requirements
of the companies and try to match them based on the personality and
future interest of the students, so they can get a job of their interest.

4. My sincerity,hard-work, enthuisasm to give back to my alma-mater and my


ethics would help me to give my best in getting the best possible
placements in this college.
