You received an Empire Zone tax credit worth more than $1.4 million on the promise you would create critically needed jobs in the Zone. In your own reports, filed with the state, you admitted that you completely failed to deliver on your jobs* promise. In those six years, with $1.4 million in taxpayer money, you created one paltry job. And your total investment in the zone was far less than the taxpayer funds you pocketed. ‘Our community needs investment, It needs good jobs and health businesses, What we do not need is someone using his connections to profit off of our community and leaving vacant and abandoned lots in return, Keeping $1.4 million in job-creation tax credits after failing to create jobs would be shameful. Keeping those tax dollars -- our tax dollars-- would reveal that your professed commitment to clamp down on government waste is just a hollow promise.
