Amavolovolo

Amavolovolo
Utmost apostle of malice
Innocent souls you do entice
With shiny barrels of silver
And holsters of graded leather
Your false sense of protection
And appearances of deception

Amavolovolo
You taunt my conscience
And confuse my science
You defy good logic
In your myth and magic
How we long to be at ease
Shall we ever know peace?

Amavolovolo
We dwell in self-made cages
Fearful of your images
Our light sleep you break
While you scream us awake
We perish in hordes
With grim faces of horror

Amavolovolo
On blood streaked pavements
Youths parade your arrangements
Evidence of delinquencies
You create dire emergencies
In fatal noises you are eloquent
In morbid acts you are sufficient
Amavolovolo
Harmless victims you made armless
Enthusiasts become hopeless
In whole you have made a hole
In skulls, with no console
Yet you spread tentacles
And destroy holy vestibules

Amavolovolo
The strife is long over
Tastes of bitter and sour
Still you spew your venom
In your impish kingdom
Mauling beings, merciless
Rendering mortals useless

Amavolovolo
Your friend is the hacking knife
With stabs perpetually rife
Your kin is the raging panga
You compliment one another
More you ruined in civility
Than you killed in hostility

Amavolovolo
On the streets of Soweto
From the Cape to Kwamasho
You blare trails of woe
Like a wounded commando
You maim and kill in such haste
In your books, the soul is a waste
