CUPERTINO
– Meg Whitman today announced the endorsement of the Long Beach Area Chamber
of Commerce PAC. The Chamber represents 1,100 businesses in the Long Beach area.

“Creating jobs is my top priority and it starts with creating an environment in which businesses can
grow and thrive,” said Whitman. “I have a plan to provide job-creating tax relief, encourage hiring
and streamline regulations for small business, and I look forward to working with groups like the
Long Beach Area Chamber. Together, we can make California’s businesses, small and large, strong
again.”

The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce PAC voted unanimously to endorse Whitman.

“Meg Whitman earned the Long Beach Chamber’s PAC endorsement because she is one of the
world’s most respected business leaders,” said Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce President
and CEO Randy Gordon. “Meg will bring a new type of leadership to Sacramento. She will focus on
improving our state’s economy and she will fight hard to rein in out-of-control spending. She is also
a leader who understands the importance and responsibilities of creating jobs.”

Gordon added, “Choosing candidates this November is one of the most important decisions for the
future of our business community. We are proud to support Meg for Governor.”

The Long Beach Chamber of Commerce joins a growing list of prominent business associations,
representing tens of thousands of employers, which have endorsed Meg and support her vision for
fixing California. They include the California Chamber of Commerce, the California Restaurant
Association, Western Growers Association, California Farm Bureau and Associated Builders and
Contractors of California, among others.
