SUMMARY
SCORING
Program Guidelines:
1. This competition is open for all the enrolled students of De La Salle
Health Sciences Institute, College of Nursing and School of Midwifery
for the 1st semester of school year 2009-2010, that will be elected as
the class representative for the competition.
a. Each section must have at least 1 pair as their representative
(most preferably the class muse and escort). The
representatives will undergo screening procedures headed by
the psychosocial committee. The participants should present
themselves during the screening test which include:
• Introduction of self
• Modeling
• Short Presentation of Talent
2. Participants should also fill-up the application form together with studio
pictures of 1 close-up and 1 whole body picture that will be submitted
anytime before August 20, 2009 (Thursday) to the SC office.
3. The screening test will be held on August 20, 2009 (Thursday) at the
CNM rooms 5 and 6. Participants can be in their best casual attire. This
will be held from 4:00-7:00PM.
4. The list of participants who passed the screening procedure will be
posted on the bulletin board (2nd, 3rd, 4th floor and chapel). For the first
year students, they will be informed by their respective level officers.
5. Those who passed the screening are required to submit 3 close-up and
3 whole body pictures to be used for posting of the participants in the
bulletin boards.
6. The organizers of the said activity, Psychosocial Committees and Ms.
Samantha Barbara V. Balbin, (CNSM Secretary) Mr. Diordan De Lemos,
(CNSMSC Auditor) and Ms. Montessa De Joya, (CNSM P.R.O.) will be the
ones who will finalize the list of the participants for each year level.
TICKETS
30% of the criteria will be based on the student’s votes. All CNSM
students are free to vote for their favorite candidate by purchasing ticket
stubs from Smart communications booths inside the campus, the whole
month of September up to October 2, 2009 at exactly 5:00 pm. The
amount of purchases from these smart retailers will be equivalent to the
number of ticket stubs that will be counted for the buyer’s candidate of
choice. Ticket stubs should be kept for the raffle draw to be held
simultaneously during the grand coronation night.
Only tickets that will be validated by the organizers of the activity will
be honored for counting of votes and claiming of prizes. Updates
regarding the number of votes and ranking of the candidates will be
posted every week (Every Friday starting from September 11, 2009).
Tickets are not exclusive to CNSM family but can also be sold outside the
institution. Selling of tickets will only be allowed up to October 2, 2009 at
5:00 pm.
TALENT NIGHT
Each participant will prepare a talent presentation with a maximum
time of 3 minutes which will be held on the “Talent Night” on Oct. 1,
2009 (Thursday) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Newly Built DLS-HSI
Gymnasium.
COSTUME
The costume of the participants during the pageant will be:
a. Long gown for females with a Grecian theme
b. Coat and tie/suits for males will do.
c. Casual Wear/ Party Outfit
d. Sports Attire
The costumes to be worn during the pageant must be approved by the
organizers three (3) days prior to the competition night. There are no
strict rules on the use of apparel and accessories to be used in the
pageant, as long as it would be appropriate to the costume.
CORNONATION NIGHT:
*** All vulgar, malicious or suggestive movements and words may result
to disqualification of a particular participant upon the discretion of the
judges. All judges’ decision is final.
*** If ever that the crowned Mr. and Ms. CNSM Elite will not be able to
meet the academic requirements and/or will be leaving the institution for
any reason, the 1st runner-up will be replacing him/her and take his/her
crown.
