t hat “k eep” was one of m y nam es.
W hen I was a lit t le boy m y par ent s k ept using t his m ag ic
wor d “ k eep” m or e and m or e. T hey beg an saying t o m e
alm ost ever y day, “ Abel, k eep your r oom in or der !” , “ Abel,
you can ’t wat ch T V. Keep on st udying ! ”
W hen m y m ot her is in t he k it chen cook ing , I lik e t o look
at what she is doin g , but she invar iab l y sa ys t o m e, “ Abel ,
k eep out of t he way, please! ” .
As you k no w, m y sis t er Debr a k eeps g etting up ear ly. So,
of cour se, she f inishes her br eakf ast bef or e I do. So, ever y
m or ning m y m ot her says t o m e, “ Abel, h ur r y up! Don ’t k eep
