Application of gasifier

The producer gas from the Gasifire can be used to replace liquid petroleum fuels like
diesel, LDO, furnace oil, LPG and natural gas in most thermal applications. However,
gasification is most suited for industries that require low and medium grade heat upto 400-
1500 oC
The potential can be broadly categorized into the following three groups:

Direct heating

• Aluminum melting
• Lead processing
• Annealing and heat treatment
• Lube oil refineries
• Namkeen and sweet meat industries

Indirect heating

• Boilers and thermic fluid heaters

• Plywood industries
• Candy manufacturing
• Rubber and footware industries
• Textile dying units including silk units and carpet units and many more.

Hot Air Generation

• Industrial bakeries-bread, biscuit and rusk ovens tea drying

• Rubber curing works
• Food drying and desiccating units (cardamom and spice units)

Savings:
Depending upon the moisture content there in the wood, one liter of oil can be saved
through the use of either 3.5 to 4 kg. of wood. By evaluating the likely price of the
material and the outlay of the liquid fuels, the economics in terms of the cut back in the
fuel cost can be computed.
