ADEF/Appeal (03)/2010-11 : Date: 23-11-2010 PRESS RELEASE As claimed by NFADE (National Federation of Akashvani Doordarshan Employees) that all the employees of Prasar Bharati is participating in the on going agitation programme from 23-25" November 2010 is false, baseless and misleading. The ADEF which represents around 15,000 employees of AIR & Doordarshan is not participating in the agitation programme and a communication to this effect has already been sent to Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, CEO, Prasar Bharati, DG, AIR and DG, Doordarshan in advance for taking necessary action to properly man the AIR & Doordarshan installations throughout the country. Akashvani Doordarshan Employees Federation is strongly opposing the demand for REPEALING PRASAR BHARATI ACT, 1990 which comes under public domain and instead they are demanding to implement Prasar Bharati Act in toto in its true sprit without any further dilution, so that the democratic right of existing employees to exercise their options for joining Prasar Bharati or to retain their status as Government employees can be ensured at all cost.
