Alerts and E-mails

1- Go to administration  users, click user options

- Write the user email, it will be useful if this is the user who will receive the alert.
- Fill in the Alert filed to send alert as an email message for all alert rules.
2- To setup email Parameters

- Administration  setup E-mail parameters.


3- Create email template

- Basic  setup  E-mail Template

4- Create Batch Group

- Basic  Setup  Batch Group

5- Link alert parameters with E-mail template

- Basic  setup  Alerts  Alert Parameters


6- Create Alert Rule
- Right click on the field you want to create Alert on it
Fill in the suitable rule, Message, and who will be Alerted

7- To Run Alert

- Basic  periodic  Alerts  Change Based Alerts.


- Select the batch Group and the Batch Processing check Box
8- Distribute Emails
Administration  periodic  E-mail processing  batch

9- Run Batch
- Basic  Periodic  Batch  Processing.
- Select the Batch Group
10- To Track E-mails “ Status”

- Go to Administration  Periodic  E-mail Processing  E-mail sending Status


11- To synchronize AX with each user Microsoft outlook

- Go to Administration  user relation  General Tab


- Select the employee from internal user employee list

- Right click on the Employee and select Go to main table form


- In the contact information Right the user email
- Click Function bottom and select use current Microsoft office outlook profile
