It is our pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Diamond Gong to the position of
Integration Manager, PPG Packaging Coatings (Foshan) Co Ltd. Effective November 10,
2010. This temporary assignment entails Diamond partnering up with the Packaging
sales and functional leaders to oversee the Bairun M&A integration activities following
the acquisition. Diamond will report to Milton Chen, General Manager, Packaging
Coatings, Asia Pacific. He will also continue to report to Raj Lall, Operations Director,
Asia Pacific. Diamond is currently the Lean and BPI Manager, Asia Pacific. He has
helped improve Operations significantly as a result of his work of implementing Lean
Manufacturing principles in PPG’s Asia Pacific facilities.

Diamond has been with PPG since August 2007, holding the position of Lean Facilitator,
Asia Pacific. He earned his most recent promotion in April 2010. Prior to joining PPG,
Diamond worked for Beijing Changgi Service Station Equipment gaining exposure in
quality assurance, Lean and Six Sigma implementation. Diamond holds a Bachelor’s
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University.

Diamond will maintain oversight of Lean; the plan for the Lean Department will be
announced shortly. Please join us in congratulating Diamond on this important
assignment, and wish him well as he takes on this challenging new role.
