Right-click on the slot to delete the unused boards. Click Next to display the

Send Configuration window.
8 Choose Verify and Run as required and click Finish.
1 Click the shortcut icon on the toolbar of the Main Topology and the cursor
changes to a + sign.
2 Click the source NE of the fiber or cable on the Main Topology.
Select the source board and port in the Select the source end of the link

dialog box.
4 Click OK and the cursor changes to a + sign.
5 Click the sink NE of the fiber or cable on the Main Topology.
6 Select the sink board and port in the Select the sink end of the link dialog box.
Click OK. Enter the information of the fiber or cable in the Create Fiber/Cable
dialog box.
8 Click OK. The created fiber or cable appears between the source and sink NEs
on the Main Topology.
In the Clock View, right-click an NE icon and select Clock Source Priority List.
Double-click the source NE and the sink NE in turn. The automatically selected
route is displayed between the NEs.
4 Optional: Click Set Route Timeslot. The Set Route Timeslot dialog box is
displayed. Select the timeslot and click OK.
5 Set the trail attributes such as Name, ID and Remarks.
6 Check the Activate the trail check box.
7 Optional: If you want to create multiple trails with the same route, check the
Copy after Creation check box.
8 Click Apply. A prompt appears telling you that the operation was successful.
Click Close.
5 Click OK.
Optional: Right-click a trail and select Trail Use Information from the shortcut
6 menu. The Trail Use Information dialog box is displayed. For a VC4 server trail,
you can also view the information of associated VC3 and VC12 trails.
4 Click OK.
If you want to display the latest alarms, check the Display the Latest Alarms

check box.
Optional: Select one or multiple alarms. Click Check to check the selected

alarms.
Click an alarm. The detailed alarm information and the cause for the alarm is

displayed in the table as follows.
5 Select one or multiple alarms and click Acknowledge, the Operation Result
dialog box is displayed.
6 Click Close. The Ack User and Ack Time columns display the corresponding
values of the selected alarm.
7 Click Save As to save the results to the directory whose path is specified.
4 Click in the Rising Time area to specify the time range. Select the event
names in the lower list. Click OK.
Click Save As to save the results to file in the specified directory on the client

computer.

Click Next to proceed to the Select Link screen of the wizard. Select the
Working Link and Protection Link.
7 Click Finish.
The created protection subnet is displayed on the Protection View.

9.2.1 Creating NEs
Please refer Task 1 - 1.2.1
4 Optional: Click Set Route Timeslot. The Set Route Timeslot dialog box is
displayed. Select the timeslot and click OK.

Click the SNCP setting tab. Right-click the dual-fed point and select Set
Dual-Fed Point, and the node is displayed as . Right-click the
selective-receiving point and select Set Selective-Receiving Point, and the
node is displayed as .
Click Create SNCP Service and the Create SNCP Service dialog box is
displayed.
Set Service Type, Direction, and Service Level. Then, set SNCP parameters
4 Working Service and Protection Service, and click OK.
A prompt appears telling you that the operation was successful.
